, personal styleshine loves to party. She knows that a lot of people think she's so sweet and innocent because of how small she is, so she likes to wear bright colors and edgy clothes. She loves to start new and wild trends .
, general description In her human form: Shine isn't what would be considered traditionally pretty. She's tiny with slim arms and and delicate features. Her head might be just a little big for her body, but it works on her. Her eyes are huge and blue, framed by long lashes, which are strangely dark for her hair color. Her hair is smooth and flaming red, though it stays curled if she feels like curling it. She has sort of pointy features, though they look good on her, with a tiny little chin.
Her skin is really fair, but it sort of suits her, like she'd look fake is she was tan. The curves that she does have are small, but they give her a sort of sass. She has fairly full lips, but her mouth is kind of a small and her lips are dark pink. She knows she has a sort of wild fiery beauty and she loves to work that. The thing that shows through her glamour is that she has a sort of silvery stripe down her spine. It sort of sparkles, but anyone who sees it thinks it's some sort of weird tattoo. She never tries to hide it with ake-up or anything. She's found boys actually kind of like it.[/ul]

, personalityShine has a dangerous mix of traits. She likes to be the center of attention, especially if the audience is boys. She loves to party and go to clubs and to stir up all sorts of trouble. However, she often doesn't think about anything before she acts and ends up putting herself in extremely dangerous situations. So far, she's been lucky about how she comes out of them. But she knows that won't always be the case. Though, sometimes, she almost wants something bad to happen.
Shine isn't afraid of very many things, and she never shows it when she is. She hates anyone seeing her vulnerable. She got that trait because of her size. People were always seeing her as breakable and so she decided she needed to be the strongest person she knew. She is wild and often out of control. She likes the idea that through being out of control is her way of controlling things because she chooses it. She enjoys her freedom and would never let it go without a fight. She hates hunters because she thinks that they don't really know what they're hunting, that they don't understand.[/ul]

, history Ronan and Arianna were somewhat unique elves. They fell in love at first sight and never cared to look for anyone else. They were the sort of star-crossed lovers that everyone dreams of being. They got married after two years of being blissfully in love. They're wedding was an amazing affair, so beautiful that mere mortals would not be able to do anything but stare. But all good things come to an end. It just wasn't the end that anyone had expected. It all came with Arianna and Ronans first child, a beautiful, but, even as a small child, dangerous looking little boy who they named Ryk. He was the sort of child they had dreamed of having, except one little thing. He was ill. It wasn't obvious at first, but they soon became aware of it. He needed a special sort of medical attention and Ronan was determined to get it. And he did, but the cost was his life. The last thing Arianna told her husband was that she was pregnant with their second child.
Shine was born without a father. As a child, she didn't really understand why he was important. She didn't remember a time when her mother was happy, or her brother ill. She only remembered that all her life her brother was the golden boy and she was the tiny little faerie girl who only reminded her mother of the nine miserable months she'd spent without her husband, heartbroken. She grew up with a mother who could hardly bear to look at her. Her only good thing in her life was that she had her brother. Ryk treasured his little sister. He would give her anything she wanted, but once again, good things came to an end.
As Shine got older, she began to act out. She liked the thrill of doing things she knew were wrong. Ryk became frustrated with his little sister, not because she was doing things he wouldn't do, but because she was the one doing them. He wanted to keep her a little girl. He had practically raised her. Shine began to resent her brother. She was angry when he tried to tell her what to do. Ryk was endlessly patient with her, until she went just a little too far over the line.
She hadn't meant for Ryk to catch her with the boy. She didn't even remember his name, but it hadn't mattered who he was when Ryk had walked in. Shine had never seen him like that in her entire life. He had beaten the boy, nearly killed him. And then he'd turned on Shine. He hadn't struck her, but there was such anger in his eyes that Shine found that she really truly feared him. After that day things were never the same between her and her brother. On the surface they acted as they always had, loving, yet a little annoyed. But Shine didn't trust Ryk anymore. She'd seen the angry side of him and she never wanted to experience it again.
Despite her fear at Ryk's anger, Shine never stopped doing exactly what she wanted to do. She's not even very careful about it. She knows that one day it will probably come back to bite her, but she's self destructive and she just can't stop. Besides, she's an elf, she likes being naughty. [/ul].

I'm not in love!
This is not my heart!
I'm not gonna waste these words...
Jace stared down at the plate of... well, actually, he wasn't sure what it was. Something vaguely green, or was that more yellow? Snot colored, gross. He wasn't actually going to eat it, so he supposed it didn't really matter anyways. The large bright colored menu caught his eye. Oh... Macaroni and Cheese. Jace snorted, not likely((from PMS))[/ul]
The bright blue plastic seat didn't look particularly inviting, so he tried not to look very close before he threw himself down at an abandoned table. Well, they were all abandoned, since most people were on vacation. And then there was Jace. Perfectly smart, but a bit of an ass. And that was why he was stuck eating lunch in the horrid school cafeteria. If you could call him staring moodily at a plate of what was supposedly mac and cheese 'eating'.
Jace grumbled silently to himself. Honestly, summer detention?? Jace rolled his eyes. It wasn't like he'd burst into a classroom and done a naked hula dance. All he'd done was politely, or at least mock politely, point out a few... uncomfortable truths to the classroom when he was asked. And he had been asked. Jace, when he wasn't undercover, did not lie. So it was better not to ask him things that you couldn't handle the answer too.
His mind wandered back to that day. Jace had been late to class, not all that uncommon for him, but Mr. Edwards had not been happy. Not that Jace cared. 'Mr. Soren! Do you care to explain yourself?' Mr. Edwards had asked, coldly. It wasn't a question. 'No, not really.' Jace had replied anyways. Mr. Edwards face had gone hard. 'Take your seat Mr. Soren. And no more smart ass remarks from you.' Jace bowed, 'Yes, your highness.' before dropping into his desk. The lines around Mr. Edwards lips tightened, but he refrained from comment.
The lesson was boring, not worth listening to. Jace didn't bother. His eyes fell on poor Jenny Cooper in the row next to him. She was cursed with ungraceful, awkward features. Her hair, bright red and frizzy, always clashed terribly with her entirely pink wardrobe. She really should find a new color. 'Mr. Soren, I asked you a question.'
Jace glanced up to see Mr. Edwards glowering at him. Jace shrugged, 'I'm sure you did.' Mr. Edwards turned red, then purple. 'And tell me, Mr. Soren, why you are unaware of this?'
Jace narrowed his eyes. It was a challenge, he realized that. Most students would make something up, not Jace. Jace didn't lie. 'I was a bit distracted from your utterly boring lecture by the eyesore that is Jenny Coopers painfully bad clothing choice.' Jace said the words pleasently, as if discussing the weather. Mr. Edwards looked as if he might faint, or slap Jace. He did neither, but stared at him, openmouthed, incredulous.
And that was why Jace was staring at something that vaguely resembled glue that has gone bad, which was supposed to be his lunch. He was starting to think a naked hula dance would have gotten him in less trouble. Maybe he'd try it sometime, just to see Mr. Edwards face. Jace smirked at the idea, before glancing around the room. He couldn't possibly be the only person here
