OutfitIt was dusk and she was still wandering around. She had been walking around all day and still hadn’t found a place to stay. She hated being on her own. She missed her mother and her father. She missed her own bed and all her toys. She just wanted everything to be normal again. She just wanted to be a little kid again. But no, she was wondering around finding somewhere safe to stay for the night. She was hungry but wasn’t going to stop to eat until she found a place to rest. The air was getting cold and the sky was getting darker and darker by the minute.
She was definitely in the residential area of Nevermore. Maybe if she just knocked on someone’s door and asked for shelter she would be alright. She always thought about doing something like that but couldn’t ever bring herself to do it. It was be to hard to have a door slammed in her face. She would rather just climb a tree and hide among the branches and sleep till morning. Its not like she hadn’t done it before. Folding her arms over her chest to looked around for a decent tree to climb. They all looked small and not very safe, needed a large sturdy tree.
She was glad now that she decided to wear her jeans. They were old but they were her favourite. Her blue sneakers where getting on the old side as well, but they were going to have to do her for now, she wasn’t sure when she was going to be able to get another pair. The breeze picked up and she wrapped her gray scarf around her neck a little tighter as she walked. She should really put a jacket on, as her long sleeve shirt wasn’t really keeping the cold out. Finally she spotted a tree and jogged over to it. She looked around and saw no one which was good.
Removing her back pack she tossed it up into the tree and it landed on a thick branch. Being a young girl full of energy she was once the tree climbing champion so getting up this one wasn’t going to be all that hard. Making her way up the tree she settled herself on the branch where her bag had landed. She unzipped it and pulled out her days black and white checked hoodie and put it on and zipped it up. She pulled the hood on and looked around at the surrounding area. She was pretty well hidden from anyone just walking by.
She sighed and got comfortable, this was going to have to do for tonight, she just hoped that it didn’t rain. It was dark now and it was really cold. Her fathers hoodie was warm but it didn’t stop her from shivering. She pulled a can of baked beans out her pack and opened it, using the spoon that she had grabbed from her home before she ran away she ate the beans. She was sick of them but it was all she had. And she had to eat. She just wished that she could be rescued. She just wanted to be safe and loved again. Being on her own was tough but she managed.

outfit.
Wolfgang swung his legs back and forth, a grin on his face, his fangs almost shining in the moonlight. The tree he was perched it was one of the select few that the fey didn't live in, or were a part of. Humans should know by now how dangerous trees were, but... they all weren't crazy like the Sighted ones. He giggled a bit, too high up in the tree to be seen from the street. His bright blue eyes were trained on a blond girl, who couldn't be older than he appeared to be. She was pretty, for a girl, but she looked scared, tired, and he could almost hear her hunger. But other than what he was seeing, he couldn't even detect her. She was like a picture in a book, or someone on a movie. He couldn't even hear her footsteps on the sidewalk. It was scary and made him sink his fangs into his lip like he always did when he was worried or thinking. It was just odd.
His eyes never left her as she eventually approached a tree next to his and tossed her bag up into the branches. She wasn't planning on sleeping there, was she? His un-beating heart filled with pity and he soundlessly crept over into her tree. A girl that young didn't deserve to sleep in a tree, especially if that tree would end up trying to pull her fingers off in the middle of the night. He swung down until he was perched on the branch above her and let himself fall forward, hanging down in front of her upside down, his hair and headphone cords that linked to his little iPod hanging down. "You know, a girl of your age should really sleep in a bed, instead of on a tree branch, especially if it's attached to a dryad," he told her with a smile. He was probably invading her personal space, but she really shouldn't be sleeping in a tree.
He slipped over to the branch opposite her and grinned, flashing his fangs. "Don't be scared.I'm not gonna hurt you," he told her, reclining back onto the branch and letting his arms and legs dangle toward the ground. He was leaving himself open for any sort of attack, but he knew the little girl couldn't do much damage, unless she had a bottle of sunlight in her bag. He doubted it. You couldn't catch sunlight unless you were one of the Seelie court. He giggled a bit to himself. "And you can't hurt me, so don't try, please," he mumbled, closing his eyes, his bag balanced on his stomach. He fished around in it until he found a small, still-sealed bottle of water. Something he liked to have on him if any faeries or humans might need something. He offered it to her wordlessly and looked up at the sky. "I'm not hungry," he assured her, knowing she knew exactly what he was.

Katarzyna finished the beans and placed the empty can aside. The wind had picked up, she curled up as much as she could to keep the warmth in. She looked around not seeing anything of interest. Everything was dark and quiet. The only noise she could here was the rustling of the branches around her. It would be okay up here in the tree if it was so bloody windy. She doubted whether or not she was going to be able to sleep. She could already feel paranoia setting in, she would worry about something coming along, or she’d fall out of the tree. Fantastic.
Even though she knew that sleep wasn’t going to come she closed her eyes anyway. Which was probably not the smartest thing she could do. Anything might be sneaking up on her. She thought she heard something but it was probably just the tree creaking against the wind. No wait there was definitely something there. Her body went stiff and she wanted to open her eyes but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Get it together Kat, you just being paranoid there isn’t anything there. Then a voice, her eyes flipped open and a small scream left her lips.
“Jesus Christ you scared the hell out of me” she said as she got her breath back. She replayed the words in her head again and she frowned and looked away. “If I had a bed to sleep in, trust me I wouldn’t be in this tree right now” She said with slight humour in her voice, she was a little touchy on the subject and thinking of something funny while she spoke about not having a home let alone a bed she couldn’t help the humour to come out in her words. She watched him as he flipped the right way up and was perched on her branch. Fangs, she backed away.
He told her not to be scared, but it was harder then you think it is. He was a Vampire and it was that very species that murdered her family and they were the reason why she didn’t have a home or a bed to sleep in. She had trouble trusting what people say to her, especially vampires. He then told her that she couldn’t hurt him and then politely asked if she wouldn’t try. This vampire was strange. He was nice. She had study the likes of vampires and they generally weren’t nice. What was his deal? Maybe it was a trick. Maybe it was his way of luring humans.
He pulled a bottle of water out of his back and held it out to her without a word. She looked at the bottle and frowned. She was really thirsty. She looked back to him as he assured her that he wasn’t hungry. His words seemed sincere enough and a small smile crept across her lips. She took the bottle.“Thank you”she whispered and opened the bottle, she sniffed the water first. Deciding that it was just water she took a sip. It was fantastic she felt better already. She cleared her throat as she replaced the lid on the bottle. “What’s your name?” She asked clutching the bottle close.

Wolfgang was surprised how much the girl was cursing. Usually people her age kept their tongues held. It was a welcome relief. Well, mostly. He didn't like curses directed at him. The vampire boy made a face, wrinkling his nose like he smelled something foul. He just smelled the night, and the animals below and above. No girl, though. He could barely hear her. It was like someone had draped a blanket around her, to hide her from the world. He raised an eyebrow at this, but decided not to mention it. "Sorry. I'll make more noise next time I creep through a tree," he said, a small amount of hurt in his voice. He pressed his lips together. "No, I suppose not," he murmured, mostly to himself. A girl this young shouldn't be sleeping in a tree. She should have a home, and a family. Maybe she was running away. He frowned at that. Little girls shouldn't run away, unless... He bit his lip now. What if she didn't have one? That was horrible. He felt bad for the girl now.
She seemed freaked out about him kindness, but he didn't mind. Vampires were generally torturers of humans. He'd killed one in the past week from over-feeding. But as she took the bottle from his cold hand, he smiled at her. "You're welcome," he said softly, leaning back on the tree branch like a cat might. Or a monkey. He smiled a bit bigger. That sounded like something Max would say. When she asked his name, he didn't even skip a beat. "Wolfgang. You can call me Wolfy, though. Everyone else does," he told her with a grin. He was glad he wasn't one of the fey. She didn't have any power over him knowing his name. He fiddled with the edge of his t-shirt. "What's your name?" he whispered. He was extremely uncomfortable around girls. Mostly because he wasn't sure what exactly he felt about them. Centuries wouldn't take away the mystery of girls, he was sure of that. "If you don't mind me asking. Give me a fake name if you feel more comfortable. Mine was real, though. Just so you know." If he were human, he probably would have blushed, but instead he bit at his lip, fang pricking his skin delicately.

The Vampire’s comment about making more noise made her smile. He probably would have scared her either way, but she wasn’t going to tell him that. He looked so young and her heart went out to him. What kind of monster would lay such a curse on someone his age? It was just plain awful. She really didn’t like vampires but this one was different. He was kind and not trying to kill her. Which was a good thing. Although just because he seemed nice didn’t change her view on vampires. Could you really blame her? Well if you didn’t know about what happened to her you really couldn’t judge.
He had to understand that a tree was the safest place for her, Vampires couldn’t sense her and as far as she knew most of the other creatures around here had trouble detecting her. From the tree she could see everything below her, and she would see them below before they would see her up there in the tree. But he was proof that she wasn’t very well hidden in the tree, if the creature was already in the tree. He had just scared the life outta her. She was just lucky that it was him, a friendly vampire rather than a nasty vampire. She would probably be dead or dinner right now.
Wolfgang was a strange name but it suited him and she liked it. Well she couldn’t really talk her name was really weird. Why her mother and father had named her that was beyond her. But she liked her name. He then asked her what her name was and told her that she could give him a fake name if she wanted to. She wouldn’t do that; she didn’t really have a good enough reason to lie to him. Especially now after he made it clear that he didn’t supply her with a fake name. Why would he? She couldn’t think of a reason why he would lie. He just seemed too innocent to her, but she knew that he wasn’t.
“My name is Katarzyna, but you can call me Kat, it’s easier to remember” She said leaning back against the tree. She was much more relaxed now. She looked at his fang digging into his lip, she looked around quickly they made her nervous. But if she didn’t look at it then it would be okay. It was just how he was, he was a vampire and vampire’s had fangs. Vampires bite people with those fangs. She snapped out of her thoughts. They were making her anxious again. She had this feeling deep down that he wasn’t going to bite her. Well so hoped she was right anyway.
