Silence. Just the way Bella liked it. She hadn't been on this road since she moved to Nevermore, and she forgot how much she enjoyed walking the dirt road. So far she hadn't seen anyone out around here, but that didn't mean anything. She couldn't hear a heartbeat, but she was on full alert for other vampires or any other creature that might be roaming around the woods.
Her mouth was filled with the aftertaste of her meal from an hour ago, the memories of the human's final moments still etched in her brain. It had been a simple traveler, not a local to Nevermore, and he had just happened to have been in her way while she was out for a walk. Killing him was easy, since he thought of her as a kind local who would know her way around the city. He had been partially wrong. Apparently he hadn't known how dangerous the city was for a human at night.
Bella walked slowly to the edge of the road where the wheat started. With a smirk, she stepped in between the stalks of vegetation and stealthily crept towards the house that was now visible under the moonlight. There wasn't much else for her to do out here, and she wanted to make the most of it since she probably wouldn't bother coming back for a while. Most of the time she preferred to stay within the city so feeding would be easier.
Suddenly Bella heard movement behind her. She spun, making her curls fan out behind her before falling back to her shoulders. She wasn't sure if it was her imagination or not, but she wasn't about to let anything get the best of her. She hissed in a breath and waited, all the while creeping towards the house that loomed ahead of her.

[[outfit]]
Wolfgang wrapped his skinny arms around himself, wondering when Max would be back. He always got so lonely when his twin wasn’t around. He’d promised not to leave the mansion in town, but he got too antsy in his bedroom and had decided to slip out for an hour or so. He needed to feed on someone pretty soon anyways; he hated being weak and useless. So after scribbling a note that he’d be in town for a few hours, Wolfy hopped out the window and made his way through Nevermore. He hoped that Max didn’t get home before him, but Wolfy could get distracted fairly easily. He giggled to himself, breathing in the cold winter air. It had always been one of his favorite times of year as a human, and now that his memories were starting to come back, he was starting to figure out the reasons for most of his quirks, like being skittish around girls and older men. He still was unable to remember James, the vampire that had changed him and his twin, but he knew it was only a matter of time. He wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, though. From what his brother had told him, he wasn’t a very nice person.
Wolfy wished that there were less vampires around Nevermore. His own kind still scared him, with their torturous, sadistic ways. He could feel their red eyes on him as he walked through the streets and down the alleyways, looking like an innocent child as he moved. If it wasn’t for the fact that he had no heartbeat and he moved with a grace that was so inhuman it looked wrong, he might have been attacked by someone. Not to mention the fact that he had fangs biting into his lip as he walked. He sighed, taking a turn down Lights Street and heading toward the ruins.
It took Wolfy a lot longer than it should have to actually get out of the city and toward the fields, there the wind kept whipping up randomly. It smelled like bread out there to him and he took it in, along with the smell of… vampire? He tensed, looking around until his eyes found the blond head poking out of the top of the fields. A vampire. A girl vampire. He wrinkled his nose. He didn’t like girls. They made him feel awkward and small. He ghosted up behind the girl and tapped her on the shoulder, having to stand on his tip-toes to reach, he was so short. “Um, hi. I’m Wolfy,” he told her, appearing in front of her, smiling cutely. “Why’re you out here when it’s so… creepy?” He was genuinely curious as to why this pretty vampire woman was out here. No one lived in the disappearing house, as far as he knew, so she couldn’t be going home.

It had been silent for a few minutes, so Bella allowed herself to let her guard down. Which had been a mistake. A light tap on her shoulder made Bella spin. Her eyebrows pushed together in confusion as she looked at the young boy before her. He had no heartbeat, smelled like a vampire, but looked so young...
Um, hi. I’m Wolfy. Why’re you out here when it’s so… creepy?” Bella wasn't one for younger people, but she couldn't deny that this kid was pretty cute. Didn't mean he wasn't as annoying as any other child she had come across in her past. She wasn't going to be mean, though. She relaxed, a small smile spreading across her face.
"Hi, Wolfy. I'm Bella," She pondered his question for a moment before answering. "I'm not really sure. I just felt like being out here I guess." She said with a shrug. Bella looked around, laughing to herself. What were the odds that she would run into someone out in the middle of a field? A soft breeze blew though the field which made Bella shiver. Now that he had mentioned, Wolfy had a point. It was kinda creepy out here.
What was she thinking? She was a vampire. She wasn't supposed to be scared of anything. But then again, it was just the brave guise that she wanted so badly to exist that was arguing with her at the moment. Truth was, she was often scared of things. It was kind of amusing how just meeting some small kid made her think of these things. Shaking the thoughts from her head, she focused back on Wolfy. "So, what are you doing out here?"
