Shine felt Seth collapse next to her. She somehow found the energy to turn her eyes to him, focusing on his face. She distantly realized it should worry her how concerned he looked, but she only felt a rush of warmth that he cared. But it didn't matter that she was exhausted, she had to ask, 'Did it work, Seth?' Her words were so soft she wasn't sure he would hear her, but she had to try. She had to know he was going to be ok, because if he wasn't... well, then she was going to have to find some energy from somewhere and get him help.
And he wanted her to stay awake for him. She'd felt her eyes closing, but she pried them open and fixed them on his face, letting his beauty keep her there. And oh, he was so warm. She dug into the last little bit of her strength to shiver closer to him and wrap her arms around his neck. And she knew that she didn't have any glamour to hide behind anymore, and she wondered if that made him want to push her away, but she tried not to think about it. Shine fixed her thoughts only on his beautiful eyes and knew she would stay awake for him, just for him.
She was starting to have a little feeling other than the numbing cold in the tips of her fingers and toes, but she knew it would take hours before she was back to normal. Shine hadn't expected for the healing to take that much out of her. She'd healed a couple of faeries, but never a human. It wasn't allowed, and who would want to, anyways? But she'd wanted to, wanted to and done it, so maybe that's why it had hurt her so bad. Maybe it was because he was human, or maybe it was because she cared.
'Seth... I-' but she couldn't hold onto the thought long enough to turn it into words. Why wouldn't the words just stay still in her head. But she could only hold onto one, 'Seth'. Only that one. Seth. [/blockquote]

Seth smiled a bit when Shine spoke, happy that she wasn't gonna die or anything, but he wasn't sure why. He was immune to the enchanting of the fey, but not so much their food or drink. "It worked," he told her softly, trying not to laugh, giddy with relief. "I worked, Shine." But he hadn't looked at himself and wasn't sure if he was lying or not. The faeries were cursed with the inability to lie; or maybe blessed, he didn't know exactly. He pulled his shirt up so his stomach with the bright red scar was showing, and touched his hip gingerly. All he felt was smooth, somewhat sticky skin. He smiled at her. "You healed me," he murmured to her, grinning hugely. The 'magic' had actually worked. He couldn't help but be amazed.
When her arms wrapped around his neck, he let his grin die down to a soft smile and he lay back down again, pulling her over into his arms, her head resting on his shoulder. His fingers stroked her hair softly. He was worried about her, which again was odd for him, and kissed the top of her head. He could tell that she was gonna try to stay awake and moved his lips to her ear. "Thank you," he whispered. Her ear was pointed, but this time she was showing the world. He'd been looking at her all night without a hint of glamour, so as her magic was stripped away, it didn't bother him at all. If anything, it made him want her closer. He traced the shape of her lips with a fingertip, loving the feeling of it. She was cold, but heating up every moment. It would still take forever before she was back to normal, he knew that, but at least he could lay with her and enjoy himself. Even if this wasn't sex, he still liked it.
When he heard her say his name, his eyes went up to hers, devastatingly beautiful. She said his name again, and he smiled, the corner of his mouth pulling up. "It's alright, Shine. I'm here. I'm not gonna go anywhere," he assured her, pulling her closer to him and touching his lips to hers for a moment, breathing her in. He closed his eyes and tried to let his instincts catch up with him. They just wouldn't, though, and he was happy about that. Shine was a faerie. He was a human. they mixed about as well as oil and water, and one of them was eventually gonna catch on fire. It just depended on which one of them would explode first.

Shine felt a huge wave of relief wash over her. She done it, healed him, and she didn't give a damn about the cost because it was totally and absolutely worth it. The heat that his body gave off was warming her, making her feel more alive, though she was still exhausted. She tugged on him, wanting to pull him closer, but there wasn't any space left to cross, because he was already there, pressed against her.
And he said he wasn't going anywhere, which he better not, because she thought that she probably wouldn't be able to handle that for a while; it would be like loosing an arm, it was essential and she could bleed to death without it. But part of her was wondering why the hell he was still there. She didn't know as much about humans as some faeries, but she did know that when they saw the fey, really saw the fey, they didn't like it. They were clever creatures and they always got out fast. So why was he still there? The wine would be out of his system by now. It was strong, but it didn't last long...
His kisses were sweet, something she wanted to hold onto. And he really said he wasn't going anywhere. But she had to know. Had to be sure. 'Promise? Promise you won't leave until...' until what? until she was better? 'Until I can handle it?' she asked him. Even she wasn't quite sure what the words meant. They could be taken many different ways, but she supposed that was their beauty. [/blockquote]

Seth nodded at her request. "I won't leave, not all night if I have to. I promise," he murmured into her ear, pulling her closer than she already was, up onto his chest. She was still cold, but heating up fast against his warm chest. This side was sticky with blood, and so was his leg, but he wasn't going to leave Shine alone so he could wash up. He kissed her lips softly, loving the taste. He could tell she was wondering why he wasn't running away, and the truth was that he didn't know either. Too close to a faerie. If he got too comfortable with one, it was like he was digging his own grave. Fey were not healthy, and he knew that. There were some that you could get hopelessly addicted to just from a few kisses. He'd seen people die because of that type. He knew Shine wasn't like that, but still. A faerie was a faerie. He closed his eyes, stroking her hair in a comforting way, not just for her, but for him, too.
Seth smiled a bit at her, kissing her forehead. "I think you need to sleep, though. Let's at least get you under the covers," he told her, slipping an arm under her knees and lifting her up. she was surprisingly light, but he'd heard that faeries had hollow bones of something of that sort. He carefully pulled the blanket back and nestled her in the bed. Seth smiled, pulling the blanket up to her shoulder. He tugged his shirt up and over his head, because it really wasn't serving much purpose at the moment, only bugging the crap out of him. It was sticking to the bloody skin of his hip, too. Tossing the shirt to the floor, wondering if he should actually take it home with him when or if he left, he bit his lip. A blush was on his face as he looked down at Shine. He hesitated before climbing into the bed next to her, knowing she'd need the extra warmth, but feeling like he was taking advantage of her. He wasn't going to do anything, just keep her warm and whisper things into her ear to keep her pleased. He pulled the girl into his arms and kissed her softly. "I'll keep you safe, Shine."

Shine felt Seth's warmth begin to settle into her, feeding her strength. She realized with a jolt of surprise that all her life, no one had ever held her like that. Not that she could remember, anyways. She'd been held of course, but not like someone cared. Not like someone wanted to protect her and just be there. Her father? She'd never even known him. Her mother? Hell no, she practically hated Shine; in fact, she hadn't seen her in nearly a year. Ryk? He might have if she'd of let him, but she never had. And now she was here, being held, really held, sheltered, for the first time in her whole life and she felt safe. It was a ridiculous notion, she thought, but the feeling didn't leave her.
When he kissed her, she realized it might be another first. Her first kiss where she wasn't being asked for more. It was a kiss that was pure sweetness and concern and comfort and Shine wanted to sink into it. She felt like she was full of sunlight. She didn't say anything as Seth slid her under the covers or when he shed his shirt and joined her, but her mind was whirring away the whole time.
She could feel herself slipping off into sleep. But that was no good because she wasn't ready for his face to slip away just yet. Shine forced her eyes open and looked at him. He was so beautiful, she almost couldn't believe he was a human. He said he would stay, but Shine wasn't used to people doing what they said. She twisted her arms around his neck and tangled her fingers in his soft blond hair. She didn't close her eyes as she leaned in and kissed him, but kept them locked on his, drowning in his gaze. One of her hands freed itself from his hair and slid down his bare chest feeling his hard muscles under smooth skin. She drew her head back, but stayed wrapped around him, 'Just in case.' she whispered, meaning about a thousand things at once. Just in case she didn't wake up. Just in case she did and he was gone. Just in case this was all a dream. Just in case.
Shine closed her eyes then, and just breathed in being around Seth. She could smell that scent that was unmistakeably boy mixed with the light layer of salty sweat on his skin, which was overpowered by the blood that stained his pants and dried on his hips. And she breathed in his warmth and the feeling of all the places that their bare skinned touched sending little electric currents through her. And just as she felt herself drifting into the delicious comfort of sleep she breathed out one last thing to him, 'I trust you.' She was so close to sleep that she wasn't sure he would be able to read into all the little things she meant by that. She trusted him to stay. She trusted him to protect her. She trusted him even though they both knew they shouldn't trust each other. She trusted that he would be there if she needed it. She trusted him and it didn't scare her, even if it should. Seth was surprised at the force of her kiss, and his arms tightened around her in a knee-jerk reaction, wanting to close what minimal space there was between them. He kissed her back, not daring to close his eyes as he did, knowing she wanted his gaze. the passion between them almost made up for the fact that they were both too tired to do anything else. His body was sore, but he pushed himself closer, non-bloody hip pressing against hers gently. As she pulled back, he moved his body away from hers, but only enough so that he wasn't practically laying on top of her. He smiled at her, nodding when she spoke, holding her close. Her body was heating up against his, and she wasn't shivering as bad. Just in case what, though? that he left? He wouldn't do that. He couldn't leave her alone. Not now. In case she didn't wake up? He'd make her. He didn't want her dying on him. It would kill him if she died, especially if it was because she tried to save him. "I won't go anywhere," he reassured her, stroking her hair.
Seth pressed his face into her hair, breathing in her scent. she smelled like nature, like sunshine. Even though he was sure sunshine didn't have a scent. As the words 'I trust you' spilled from her mouth, his breath caught. She shouldn't. Humans were liars, cheaters, greedy bastards. "You know you shouldn't, Shine," the blond boy murmured in her ear, but she was already gone. He settled himself into the bed next to her, adjusting the small faerie in his arms so they would both be more comfortable. It threw him off a bit that he was in bed with a girl he had no intention to actually have sex with. It was odd, but he didn't feel just lust toward this girl. She's a faerie, he had to remind himself, kissing her forehead softly. "Sleep well, love." His last words before his eyes began to shut and he slipped off to sleep. He was completely letting his guard down around a faerie, but it didn't feel wrong, and that was odd. What was wrong with him? He had no idea. Shine was worth it.

Shine rolled over, her mind drifting into consciousness slowly. She was deliciously warm, relaxed. Her mind was poking her to remember something, but she was too happily sleepy to remember. Happy? Shine couldn't remember the last time she'd been really happy. She felt her fingers brush something smooth, warm. The night slammed back to her in a rush and her big blue eyes snapped open.
She was lying on her side, facing Seth. Oh, he was just as beautiful in the pale morning light that slanted across the bed from the windows of the hotel as he'd been in the shadows of last night. If anything, she thought he looked even more gorgeous. His face was relaxed, smooth. He looked younger when he was asleep, vulnerable.
Shine wondered if there was any way to wrap the moment up into a long never ending bundle. She could lie there, warm, safe, so close to Seth and watch him sleep forever. She could see the calm rise and fall of his chest. She didn't want to wake him up, he looked so calm. Shine found his hand and very carefully twined her small fingers through his.
She lay there, focusing on the warmth of her fingers in his and the way his breath calmed her. She was trying not to think about what came next, when he woke up, because how could she, a faerie, ever really be with him. And how the hell could she not? Shine stared at the ceiling and just breathed. One step at a time. She had this moment, this little window of time here and she wasn't going to waste it.
OOC: I hope it's alright I decided to skip to morning. I couldn't think of anything else Shine could do while she was asleep.

Seth's dreams usually didn't have much meaning; they were rarely much more than something weird, like him drinking a glass of water or something like that. He got chased every once and a while, but this dream felt much too real. In it, he'd gotten drunk on fey wine, danced with a girl with pointed ear, and bled from his hip quite a lot from claws in his flesh. And then the two of them had gone into a hotel and the faerie had fixed him, but hurt herself. What the hell? That was complete nonsense. Nothing like that could ever happen, not to Seth, who was one of the most careful people he knew when it came to the fey. He felt someone touching his hand, entwining their fingers together, and he gave the hand a small squeeze in response. He really hoped it was a girl he was laying with. He didn't need something as awkward as a naked guy in the bed next to him. He opened his eyes, looking over at the petite girl curled up next to him. The one with pointed ears. Oh, fuck. It hadn't been a dream.
Seth sat up a bit in the bed, rubbing his eyes with the hand Shine wasn't holding. "Good morning," he murmured to her, a sleepy smile on his lips. He couldn't bring himself to be pissed, he was just shocked that she was still there. He brought his hand up and touched her cheek gently, as if to see if she was real. "You... sleep well?" He pressed a kiss to her lips, smiling. "Mmm. I know I did." It still felt a bit odd that they'd slept together, but hadn't had sex or anything close, just kiss a few times. She looked healthier this morning, and more human, with her hair snarled and her clothes a mass. That dress must not have been comfortable to sleep in. At least she'd gotten her shoes off. "You feeling any better? You've got more color in your face, and you're a lot warmer." He grinned at her, being perfectly honest for once. She also looked a lot more beautiful, now that he wasn't hazy from the wine or the pain. God, his hip was so sore, but at least it was fully closed up. He frowned a bit, laying back down next to her and curling up. He wasn't too much of a morning person, and all he wanted to do was sleep off his hangover and hold Shine close.

Shine felt Seth shift beside her and then he spoke. She looked at him and wondered what he was really thinking. Did he think he was crazy for last night? Did he think he should get out? She didn't know, but she was just going to do her best to be honest. Her lie last night had been bad enough. She never wanted that to happen again.
His kiss was sweet, and Shine realized with surprise that his lips tasted like Seth. She was already thinking that he had a taste. 'yeah. trauma induced sleep's the only way to go.' She told him. She had slept like someone had knocked her out. Well, she had kind of knocked herself out. She smiled at him, thinking she must look like crap and wondering how the hell he looked that good when he first woke up.
'I'm alright.' She was surprised to find it was true. She glanced down and wrinkled her nose. 'Ugh. I need a shower.' she leaned forward over Seth and slid her finger down his chest until she found the blood on his hip, then gave him a quick kiss before pulling back, 'And so do you.' He still looked so tired, though, not a morning person. 'I'll be back in a minute. Don't you dare sneak off.' She was only half joking.
Shine hopped off the bed and dug through the drawers until she found what she wanted and disappeared back into the bathroom. It felt great to get rid of the bloodstained dress. The hot water was like heaven on her back, in her hair. She sped through the shower as fast as she could, dressed and slipped back into the bedroom her hair still dripping.

Seth laughed at her words, a sleepy slur to his actions, his eyes heavy with sleep. "I'm gonna agree with you there," he said, remembering how much he'd slept after he'd been attacked by the faerie when he was younger. "It feels good to be awake after it, though. Like someone saying 'you made it. congrats!'" The boy smiled at her. When she said she was fine, his smile grew into a grin. That was good. "I'm glad you are." He looked down at the sheets instead of at her face, blushing. He wasn't used to showing affection to people, not even his parents. His dog was the only one he was actually affectionate to. When she touched him, he shivered, his body arching toward her fingers, letting out a soft moan. He knew he needed a shower more than she did, because he probably smelled like sweat and blood, which wasn't an attractive mix. The kiss made him smile, but she didn't give him time to kiss her back. She was already headed for the bathroom. "Yes, ma'am!" he said, saluting her and making a show of curling up like a cat, closing his eyes. He wasn't going anywhere for a while. It felt too nice in a warm bed and a lazy sun warming him up.
He heard the shower turn on and shifted into a sitting position, wrinkling his nose at the smell of blood that he'd gotten on the sheets and all over his side. He looked like he'd been painted with dark red. It was gross. He poked at his hip, trying to see if there was any actual open wounds, but he couldn't feel anything. He frowned a bit. He wondered if he'd have scars or not. He'd find out in the shower, probably. When he heard the door to the bathroom open up, he smiled, looking Shine over. She looked so human with her dripping hair that it was almost scary. "Very nice," he appraised, not an ounce of sarcasm in his voice.
Seth managed to pull himself out of the bed, ruffling his hair a bit and pushing it out of his face. He smiled and walked over to her, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her on the mouth passionately. When he pulled back, his breathing was heavy. "Don't leave, alright?" he asked, half a mild demand to cover up the desperation he had. A smile came to his lips and he kissed her forehead. "I'll be out in a few minutes." He slipped into the bathroom quickly before his desires could catch up with him and make him want to do things to her that would make his mother probably abandon him. He quickly hopped into the shower, cleaning his hip off and flaking away all the blood. The water at his feet turned pink. He prodded his hip, able to find the scars now. Three identical circles about the width of his index finger. He frowned, knowing there was one on the small of his back, too. He went through his shower quickly, and found a spare toothbrush to use before slipping his bloody boxers and jeans back on, having nothing else to wear.

Shine had felt her heart swell so much when he'd told her he was glad she was alright. Was it really screwed up that no one had ever said that to her before? She closed her eyes, remembering the way he'd let out a soft little moan when she'd touched him. She'd had no idea that a sound could go through her like that, make her shiver. She'd been so relieved when he'd still been there when she came back. She didn't know what she would have done if he was gone. It would have hurt, she knew that.
He'd kissed her so hotly, she'd been taken a little off guard, gasping into his mouth. oh, but he tasted so good. He'd demanded that she stay there? she held up her hands in innocence, 'Hey, where am I gonna go? It's my hotel room. I live here!' she pointed out, closing her eyes when he kissed her forehead. It was such an affectionate gesture, she wanted to remember every second.
Shine curled up in the armchair next to the bed while she listened to the sound of the shower. Warmth from the hot water was leaking under the door and she felt utterly and completely happy. Oh, Shine thought, I really need to call housekeeping to change the sheets. She picked up the phone and dialed down to the front desk.
One privilege, Shine had learned, of actually living in a hotel, was that housekeeping came when you wanted and left fast. By the time she heard the shower cut off, housekeeping had been in and out and there were crisp white sheets on the King-sized bed. And when the door to the bathroom cracked open, Shine slid to her feet and turned to look at Seth in the doorway.
He looked deliciously damp, and she was instantly glad that his shirt had been ruined beyond repair. She didn't think about it as she crossed the distance between them and wrapped herself around him. He was so warm and his arms felt safe. She needed that. 'You smell good.' she told him. She looked up at him, marveling again at just how perfect he was. She kissed him, tasted him. She pulled back to look in his eyes, 'But you taste better.' She grinned. [/blockquote]

Seth was surprised at Shine's actions, but his arms went around her without hesitation. He blushed when she said he smelled good. "Thanks. You do, too," he told her with a grin. She smelled clean, and the nature smell had washed away, making the sunshine smell stand out more. He shook his head, finding himself odd that he was thinking about how a girl smelled. What was he, a werewolf? He didn't waste any time in kissing her back, the fingers of one of his hands knotting up in her bright red hair, tipping her back like they were dancing. He pulled her back up when her lips left his. He grinned at her. "Why, thank you, Shine," he said, almost giddy. He was happy around her. Truly happy. There was still the burning lust, but he liked that he could be honest with her. He captured her mouth again, tilting her back until her hair brushed the floor, his arm around her waist tightening.
The only reason Seth pulled back was for air. He grinned at her, his body flushed with heat, and it wasn't from the shower water. His mouth came against hers again, his hand slipping under the edge of her shirt. He couldn't bring himself to be worried about the fact that he was touching one of the fey, his tormentors. He had a feeling Shine wouldn't hurt him, ever. He'd been broken last night, and she'd fixed him. That had to count for something. He moved them toward the bed, not holding her tight enough so that escape was out of the question, but tight enough to keep her against his chest. His lips went to her neck, biting down gently on her pale skin. "Mmm. You taste better," he purred, pulling her down onto the now-clean bed with an grin. His fingers tugged at her clean tank top that she'd just put on up above her stomach, trailing his fingers over her warm, delicious flesh.

Seth tipped her back and Shine could have sworn the whole world was tilting with her. His lips tasted delicious and he wasn't holding back anymore. She could feel his heart thudding against his chest, or maybe it was her heart? They were so close she wasn't sure she could tell the difference anymore. He thanked her for her comment and a little smile passed her lips, 'prove it.' she told him, prove that he was thankful.
His fingers slipped across her bare skin and she shivered in pleasure. She let him back her onto the bed and she pulled him down, loving the way his weight settled over her. Seth's teeth skimmed her neck and his voice was dark, alluring. God, how did he know just what to do? His touch left her skin tingling and her breath coming faster and she knew he'd be able to hear how it was a little uneven. Her back automatically arched toward him, wanting to close the nonexistent distance.
There were a million reasons why she shouldn't be doing this. 1. She barely knew him. That had never stopped her before. 2. He was human. Well that had stopped her, but still, wasn't a big enough reason. 3. Her brother. He didn't need to ever find out. 4. It might just kill her if Seth left and she didn't see him again. Not enough, either.
Against her better judgment, Shine gave him a dark little smile. 'Want to see my faerie mark?' she asked him. She didn't wait for an answer, shedding her top and tossing it aside, trying not to think about the fact that it left her upper body in only her blue bra. She twisted around so he could see the shimmery silvery line that trailed down her spine, starting at the base of her neck and disappearing under the low waistline of her shorts.

Seth raised an eyebrow at her words. He'd never seen a faerie mark before. He opened his mouth to say 'yes', but she was already tugging her t-shirt off. He made a low groaning sound in the back of his throat at the sight of her in nothing but tiny shorts and a bra, smirking a bit. As she turned, he moved with her, his hands on her hips, thumbs rubbing circles on the small of her back. His eyes ran down her spine, taking in the silvery stripe on her spine. How could he have missed that last night? he wondered. It was probably because her dress was in the way. But now that it wasn't, he couldn't help marveling at the beauty of it. He pressed a kiss to the base of her neck, against the moonlight-colored skin. He moaned softly, his hands moving to her shoulders, before he started kissing his way down her spine, his hands following, touching as much of her as he could as he did. He moved a slowly as possible, knowing both of them would enjoy it more the longer he took, the longer he let his hands linger against her skin. As his lips reached the base of her spine, he almost purred, his hands sliding her tiny shorts down her legs and letting them drop to the floor.
Seth pulled his mouth away from the small of her back and readjusted them so he was in front of her again, his hands on her waist pushing her down onto her back. He brought his lips to hers, a smile on them as he kissed her. "You're beautiful," he murmured into her ear. And he was telling the truth. She was beautiful. Most of the fey were beyond gorgeous, but she took it to a human level. One that didn't make him shudder with fear and pleasure. "Shine..." he sighed, pressing his face into her neck, nuzzling her skin, breathing her in deeply. "I ... want you...." The words felt foreign on his tongue. He'd spoken them so many times over the last few years that it was second nature to him, but never to a faerie. Sure, vampires and werewolves didn't bother him an ounce, but a faerie? Never. He was terrified of them. But as the words rolled of his tongue, they couldn't be more true. He wanted her like he wanted sunshine, or happiness. He just hoped she'd let him have her.

Shine thought her senses must be in overdrive because was aware of every little brush of Seth’s lips against her skin. They trailed down her spine making her let out little sighs and she couldn’t believe how damn good it felt. There was something different about it because it was Seth. She didn’t think if anyone else had touched her like that she would have felt the like she was hurtling through space, a falling star. But oh, that was how he made her feel. ‘oh, god, that feels so good.’ she breathed.
Shine’s pulse began to race even faster when he turned her over, kissed her, and she kissed back like she needed his lips to breathe. She wasn’t so sure she didn’t. He thought she was beautiful. She knew those words shouldn’t surprise her. She was a faerie, all the humans thought the fey were beautiful. But the way he said it, it meant more, it wasn’t the same thing. Shine’s fingers were sliding through his smooth hair and she noticed it was still a little damp from the shower. ‘i… want you…’ the words vibrated through her. Shine opened her eyes and looked straight into Seth’s. Ryk would absolutely kill her if he found out; she didn’t care. She wondered if Seth could see the change in her eyes, the total trust that she felt, ‘take me.’ she breathed out. [/blockquote]
