A part of her was a little surprised that he believed the lie, she wasn't really sure if she ever came off as a good liar or not, maybe she was. Monique watched him closely, as he began to circle around her. She was a bit curious as to what he was up to and she felt that it wasn't anything good at all. Mona wondered if maybe he didn't believe her lie and that he was just playing along with her, if that is the truth, she was going to kill him for it.
Hearing his next words, as she looked up at him, she felt her face go blank and felt her heart stop for a beat or two "Wh--what?" she wondered if she really heard what he said "I--Jeremy, no." she shook her head, taking a step back away from him. Mona didn't like where any of this was going. She felt that she should of known by lying to him, that he would of gone this way. But honestly, she was thinking more about protecting Ryan than anything else.
"I'm not marrying you."

Jeremy's face was blank with only a slightly raised eyebrow, his smile now gone as he stared at her seriously, studying her reaction. He could care less that she refused it; it wasn't as if it would have any effect on him, anyways. He sighed when she did refuse and still kept a stright face, the tension in his eyebrow relaxing. Then she said she wasn't marrying him and Jeremy couldn't help but laugh shortly at that. When he finished, his face immediatly returned to it's previous state.
"That's a good one, Monique. Because I am going to marry you." Jeremy shifted his eyes over her then and began walking in the direction she was previously heading in, narrowly avoiding bumping shoulders with her though he desperately wanted to. Then, her refusal began to get Jeremy's mind working and his eyebrows furrowed. But if they did get married, she would of course never be happy, and she would most definitely refuse to even make it a physical reltionship. Pushing away the annoying nagging thoughts, he continued walking.

She slightly found her eyes going wide at his words; how could he do this to her? Didn't he realize that no matter what, she was going to be even more miserable than she was if him and their parents were going to force her to marry him? Why couldn't he understand that. Mona shook her head again, watching him walk away from her; she turned around so that she was facing his back and began walking after him, a glare to her face. When she reached him, she moved to stand in front of him to stop him in his path with a look of pure hatred "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked him, in a bit of an angry voice.
It was something she had always wanted to know, but never asked. Now she felt it was a very good question to ask "Why can't you just go and find some one that will actually be happy, instead of continuing to make my life more miserable by the second!" she yelled at him "I don't want to marry you and if you and our parents make me go through with it, I swear.." she said, feeling her eyes sting "You'll be left standing there at the alter alone." she promised, though it was a bit more of a threat.

Jeremy focused his eyes again in front of him so his thoughts couldn't get in front of his sight. It was a good thing, as well; he caught himself from stepping into a dug out hole from some animal and stepped over it swiftly. Unfortunately, he found Monique to be in his way again and he stopped short, almost running her over, and planted his feet to the ground. He peered down at her for a moment, then folded his arms and sighed.
But Jeremy felt like he couldn't look at her anymore, let alone listen to her, but he did anyways. Of course, the words hurt him, but not as much as they would have had the full moon not been hours away. When she finally spoke her last words, Jeremy still kept his eyes away for a few seconds before looking at her again. He steadily breathed through his nostrils as he let a few more seconds passed by, then smoothly but crulely said, "Are you finished?"

Oh how much she really hated him right now; after all that she just said and he wasn't even going to just see her point of view and realize. Mona felt a slight pain in her hands and when she glanced down to advert her eyes away from him for a moment, she realized her hands her balled up tightly into fist. She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly before looking back up at him. She hated how cruel he seemed to ask the words and she was really just at her last straw with him.
"Actually, no I'm not." she told him, as she looked up at him with a tight jaw. Monique lifted her right first and drew it back and put all of her force into it as she decked him right in the nose "Now I'm done, you ruthless bastard." she told him in a angry tone. Mona knew her knuckles were going to hurt later, but they would heal fast, especailly if they were broken.

Jeremy watched Monique as she seemed to breathe steadily in and out as he had previously. His eyebrow rose but the rest of his blank face stayed idle. She spoke, saying she was not finished, then drew her fist back. And Jeremy saw it in more than enough time, but he was done with Monique today. He shut his eyes and tensed his face at the last minute before her knuckles, hard as ever, landed smack in the middle of his face. It broke his nose, instantaneously.
Jeremy drew back, stumbling a bit at the pain but only breathing harshly and not letting out any sounds of pain. It would probably only fuel her more. Cringing, he reached up, reset his newly bleeding nose, and looked back up at his vengeful fiance. Why couldn't she just accept the fact that they were getting married? How was it so hard for her to believe she would never live with anyone but him? Jeremy only gave her a blank stare, wiped away the few drops of blood, and walked away.
