Soft taps of the heals of Licentra's boots could be heard as she traveled down the sidewalk, eyes fierce as she cracked her neck into place. A small growl echoed in her throat as angry thoughts entered her mind. Stupid wolf. How could my brother want an ass like him to lead me to him?! I swear.. She cut her thoughts short as she breathed in soothingly, her fingers uncurling from fists as she glanced down once staring at healing cuts even though she had gloves on that cut off at each finger. She sighed her gaze lifting, observing the streets at this hour. A few people lingered amongst the shadows, their eyes watching her. She cleared her throat as she flipped up the hood on her long coat. She stopped for a moment checking her clothing that was a little tattered from her fight with Asvald. She had small random cuts in her jean shorts and tank top, nothing extremely exposing though so she didn't care. "Stupid werewolf." She muttered under her breath as small whisps appeared from her breath due to the cool temperature of the night. An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of her stomach as she hesitated, her eyes flicking around looking for someone who was assuming they could just assault her easily. Nothing moved or looked at her anymore, but she had this weird feeling. "Ugh..now I'm being so fucking paranoid..." She whispered through her teeth as her jaw clenched. She glanced around not knowing what she should honestly do. She didn't have anything at this point, yet she didn't want to just do nothing, but she needed to also cool off a bit. She took a seat on the bench closest to her as she crossed her legs, remaining silent and listening to the sounds of the night as she fell into her own thoughts.[/blockquote]

Drake laid on his back on the grass looking up at the clouds as they passed over the stars. He sighed and smoke escaped his lips. The cigarette in his fingers slowly burned away as the slight breeze whisked around him. He was bored and he really wanted to shift but there was a fair few people around tonight and it annoyed him. He didn’t understand why people gathered in the dead of night just to have a chat. He could easily just go to another place to shift but he didn’t want to have to wander around all night just to find a place without people. He took another drag of his cigarette and sat up in the same motion. He looked down to the lighter in his other hand and flicked it on and watched as the flame danced in the darkness. He liked fire and he liked playing with it. He was a little fire bug. Taking the last draw of his smoke he dabbed it out in the grass and flicked the butt away he watched it fly away into the darkness. Sitting there was just so boring and he needed to do something, anything to stop him from going crazy from boredom. Maybe there was someone around that he could terrorize. He sighed and pushed himself off the ground.
His back cracked as he straightened and he moaned and slight pleasure as it felt awesome to stretch. He then dusted the back of his coat of as there were a few pieces of grass stuck to the fabric. He wore a black shirt with a batman symbol on the chest and a pair of black jeans. A long trench coat was on his back and a pair of chuck boot on his feet. He wasn’t a fan of clothing and he would rather walk around with nothing on but he was forced to wear something when he was out in public. He then headed towards the foot path, a few eyes on him because of his attire he assumed. Jeez haven’t they ever seen someone walking around in black clothes before. Drake preferred black clothing because it helped him blend into the darkness, but obviously not tonight. He then walked along the path watching the ground as he went, when a scent hit his nostrils, it was a Lycan scent and he slowed his pace. Perhaps this other Lycan was hostile; maybe he or she was territorial. He hoped not as he wasn’t particularly in the mood for a confrontation. Yes, he was bored but he wasn’t looking for that sort of amusement. He looked around to find the other Lycan.
The only other person in his vision was a young girl sitting on a park bench. She didn’t look all that dangerous but he had learnt from experience that looks were definitely deceiving and he should judge her just on her appearance. Perhaps if he just greeted her friendly like then she wouldn’t become hostile towards her. He walked a little closer slowly, pulling out another smoke out of his pocket as he did so. He then retrieve his lighter out of his pocket and went to light it. But it didn’t light; he had wasted all the gas when he was playing with the flame beforehand. He cursed to himself and out of impulse walked straight up to the girl. He really wanted a smoke and his lighter didn’t work, the first thing you did was find someone and ask them if they had a lighter and that is what he did. ”Hey, sorry to bother you but you wouldn’t happen to have a lighter I could borrow? Mine died” he said with a friendly smile and showed her the cigarette in his hand. He hoped that she had one as he really wanted to smoke this cigarette, and maybe it would spark a conversation between them. He was always keen on meeting others like him.

Licentra desired to be left to her own thoughts and she hoped that in the city, people might just look at her and move on, but no. Of course someone had to approach her in this hostile mood of hers. She wasn't sure whether to act like a complete jerk or just be completely silent. She sighed as she knew the latter would be the best choice other than answering his question. She cleared her throat and inhaled before she was about to begin her response when she smelled the scent of a lycan, nearly flooding around her. Her first reaction was to get up and run from her other perpetrator, but it wasn't the same scent. "Ummm..." She hesitated and then glanced up at the man and then did a double take for a moment, but very nonchalantly. "You know those things are bad for you right." She smiled charmingly at the man. "But here," She paused before digging out a lighter she had just in case she would ever need it kind of lighter and handed it to him.
Licentra noticed his blue eyes that had the same color as hers. She got caught up in them for a moment and her mind flashed as she remembered her brother. A vivid picture of her father arguing in the small confinements of the black-walled kitchen grew larger and larger. The argument escalated to physical fighting, blood tracing their steps. She shivered as she felt a few tear drops shaping on her cheeks and closed her eyes and looked away from this person and brushed the tears away with her free hand. She hated her family life and even more so that this man or his eyes she should say would bring that back once again. An emptiness fell into the pit of her stomach at that moment. "Please, take it and go." She whispered softly as she didn't make eye contact with him again.
Licentra's eyes slid down to her leg where a rather large cut was still in her leg and was yet to fully heal as blood trickled down slowly. She didn't want him to see because she just knew it would only create concern. She quickly swept her bare leg under her long coat and straightened up a bit where she sat against the bench. She inhaled slowly again as she smelled that werewolf scent and froze. Her pupils dilated as she knew he would be able to tell that she was bleeding anyways and that she was a werewolf. Why do I always have to run into another werewolf?! Can't I just ever be left to myself, to suffer by myself and not have anyone question why! She screamed those thoughts in her head while keeping her composure as her eyebrows furrowed a bit. [/blockquote] Notes: It's cool. Drake smiled at the woman as she informed him that cigarettes were bad for you. He did know this but he was more worried about other things in the world that were bad for him and endangered him life and besides he liked them too much to care. But he did find it nice that she had slight concern about his well being, not very many people did these days. He took the lighter and used it in the way he had intended and lit his smoke and handed it back to the girl. “Thanks for that” he said with a smile. Why he didn’t just leave then after acquiring what he needed he was quite sure. It was like he felt some remorse for the girl she looked sad and alone. But maybe that’s how she wanted to be, how was he to know if she didn’t want company?
Drake caught the scent of blood but did nothing, if she was any huge amount of danger from whatever it was that was causing her to bleed then she wouldn’t be just sitting there doing nothing about it. If she wasn’t worried about the cut then neither was he, it wasn’t any of his business. Drake knew better then to pry into the doings of another Lycan, they can get very temperamental and defensive when you question what they have been up to and they also carried to much pride to accept help from another Lycan. If she was anything like he was then it wouldn’t take long before the wound healed itself, leaving only a small scar on her skin. He hoped she had the regeneration gift anyways.
“You know having the company of others is always better then not having any at all” he said as he walked around and sat on the other side of the bench next to her. He was a little lonely himself and would greatly appreciate her company, but being the gentleman he was, if she asked him to leave her be then he would. But he had a huge feeling that she was going to tell him to leave her alone, for two reasons, first of all she looked as though she didn’t want to have anyone around and secondly he got the feeling that he made her feel uncomfortable. When she looked up and seen his eyes looking at her, he could smell the uncomfortableness flood her body, perhaps he reminded her of someone else that she wasn’t too fond of.
He didn’t mean to make her feel that way; he had no intention of bring her any harm at all. All he really wanted was to have someone to talk to. He hated being on his own all the time; it was nice to have someone else to answer his questions other then himself all the time. Yes it sounds crazy but that is what happens when you have no one around you. Being alone can take its toll on ones sanity.

Licentra closed her eyes, her head still in the direction opposite him, trying to avoid him seeing her cry. She hated people watching her cry, especially those who she has never met before. She thought of it as a sign of weakness and that was a belief she found when she was younger. She always allowed herself to be hurt by things that happened around her or to her that eventually she just told herself she had to get a backbone and suck it up. “Why do you want to help me? You are a complete stranger. I just came from finding another complete stranger who beat me. Also a werewolf.” She whispered as she blinked away the tears attempting to regain her composure.
She slowly turned and inhaled deeply her eyes slipping shut and turned towards him. She opened her eyes and stared at him, her eyes automatically focusing on his. She didn’t turn back. She knew she had to get over the fact that one physical feature reminded her of Vladimir. “I’m sorry. I’m a bit harsh. You just reminded me of my brother, who I haven’t seen in a long time. He’s one of the closest things I have to family. Your eyes are the same as his is all. I…I don’t know why I’m saying this all either.” She said and then suddenly shook her head softly in disbelief at how much she had just splurged out.
She paused considering the idea that she might like him. Oh come on! Get a grip! He’s a stranger! And stop making yourself look weird. She thought to herself and closed her mouth, waiting for him to talk a bit. She had weird mood swings for the past few moments and well, right now, she wasn’t in the best shape, so she supposed it would be excusable for this one moment.
Something did tell her that he was searching for someone to be with also. As though, he needed someone to talk to and by helping her, he would get some help in return. “Um…this is going to sound strange, but are you okay?” She asked out of instinct. Why else would he just come up to me out of the blue or sit down and try to help? Any normal human or being would pass me up in a second. She threw the words through her head as though there were no other possibilities, not even considering the fact that he might just be doing a nice thing.

Drake thought about her question, it was a very good question and he didn’t really know why he wanted to help her. Perhaps it was the Lycan link they shared or maybe he was just going soft. He frowned at himself at the last part. No he wasn’t going soft, he wanted to think it was the first option. “Perhaps isn’t just you who needs helping” he said not looking at her, he just looked out in front of him. Many thoughts ran through his head at that moment. Did he need helping, possibly? He looked over to her as she spoke again. Drake listened as she spoke, she was pouring her heart out and he couldn’t help but smile. There was nothing wrong with being honest once and a while. It had been a long time since Drake was honest. Honest with himself anyway.
“Your brother is lost somewhere?” he asked not really knowing why she hadn’t seen him in a long time. It could have been something happened between them and he didn’t want to see her again, or he could just be out in the world, lost. He wasn’t sure, asking questions always helped. He found talking to strangers about problems was easier talking to people you already knew. Friends can be very judgmental at times where as strangers just want to listen and maybe throw in some advice. Advice from a stranger usually turns out to be the best you’ll ever get. Its free of judgement. He looked at the girl and smiled, he didn’t even know her name. She was rather pretty and rather soft looking. Maybe it was just all the things that were bottled up inside of her that made her appear that way. Drake didn’t know but he liked it anyway.
She then asked him if he was okay. He wasn’t expecting that but she was glad that she did ask it. Maybe they could help each other out. He sighed and took another drag of his smoke and looked over to her, his long fringe falling into his eyes. Hopefully the hair would guard his eyes and they wouldn’t make her feel sad for her brother. "No not really” he said in answer to his question. “This might sound a little soft coming from a Lycan but i hate the feeling of being alone” he explained feeling a little embarrassed but it felt right being able to tell her. After all she was still kind of a stranger. “At first i didn’t really mind being alone but now it is getting rather depressing” she said and turned on the seat a little bit to see her better. His hair still over his eyes. “It was kind of the reason why i came over, if you didn’t have a lighter i would have found a way to strike a conversation with you” he said with a small smile and he looked away.

Licentra’s eyes flashed towards him as he implied that maybe he even needed some help. Something about him made her feel less alone as though she was just the one on her own that could take care of herself and have no problem of it. Truth be told, she did need someone to wrap her up in their arms and never release her, only to reassure her that these problems will turn out for the better of everything. She didn’t know if part of her was comforted by his presence, something that reminded her of her brother. Right now, she was attempting to hold on to anything that brought the feelings of him back into her life, as if she had a part of Vladimir with her that she could no longer have to forfeit. Finally Licentra nodded slightly in response.
His next question caught her off guard, but she knew he was searching for something more than a simple answer and was asking so much more than one question. She was going to try to give him a short answer that wasn’t miles long even though all she wanted to do was poor out her heart to him. Something was different though as to why she could tell everything to him and not be able to to another completely different person. Her eyes dropped to the ground as she inhaled in a bit of an attempt to begin. “He’s gone and I don’t know if I’ll ever come into contact with him again. He….well…my family is very broken. My father and him had major issues with their beliefs that they conflicted one day and Vladimir walked out. He was the one person I counted on for anything and could trust with anything. Ever since I have lost him, nothing has been right and I just have missed that feeling. I…..I hate being alone, but for some reason, that’s the path I chose.” She explained her eyes eventually finding his again.
She laughed softly and shook her head. “It’s not soft at all I think. Well, at least I think so. I believe a lot of people are in that situation. They aren’t hard to find. I mean, you found me as simple as that. And thank you. It’s helping. Although, it’s odd that I could tell you so much.” She commented softly as she tried to see his eyes again. She was trying to get used to them and get the comfort out of them, but his hair was guarding them in a small manner. She reached up naturally and brushed one of the strands away, without thinking and then froze as she pulled her hand back. “Oh, uhh. I’m….sorry.” She whispered as her faced turned down, her cheeks with a soft blush arising as she had an uneasiness arising in her chest. Damnit Licentra. Get a grip. Pay attention before you ruin another possible friendship. Licentra thought as her jaw clenched together as she kept herself from the tears building. Notes: None Muse: Okay

Drake listened to her explain about her family and how it was broken. He thought back to his own family and bit the inside of his lip. His parents weren’t Lycan’s and instead of shaming the family he never returned to them. He hadn’t seen them in a long long time. He missed them yes, but he knew that this was that right thing to do. Drake understood the bond that she shared with her brother, when he left his family he felt something was missing in his heart when he left his brother behind. The only difference is that he chose to leave, with her it was her who was left behind and his heart ached for her, how she was feeling was how his own brother must have been feeling when he left. Family was a great and horrible thing all at the same time, your heart is filled with joy when your with them but to leave them it kills you inside.
“Perhaps he is staying away to protect you, I do hope you find him one day” he said sincerely he hoped that one of them would be happy one day, he knew that it wouldn’t be him as he couldn’t bring himself to face his family again. His secret wasn’t really something you could hide from your family, especially not his mother she would know something was up the moment she saw him and he wasn’t ever able to lie to his mother. “It makes me feel better knowing you don’t think of me as soft, I’m glad my presence is making you feel better” he said with a smile, making her feel better made him feel better, it was a win win situation. He smiled at her remark about being able to tell him so much freely. “You will find it is easier to talk to strangers, You don’t feel like you are being judge by them, well that how i feel anyway” he explained, he hoped it help her understand better and make her feel like she doesn’t have to keep everything bottled up.
Drake caught her eyes as she looked at him, he could see hers clearly through his hair. She was so beautiful. He liked looking at her, she was a pleasant sight. He watched as she reached up and brush away a few strands of his hair, a smile crept over his face as she did so. He blushed himself as she looked away and the embarrassed look came over her face. He didn’t have a problem with her touching him at all. “Don’t be sorry, I don’t mind” he said and looked out in front of him again. There wasn’t any other people around anymore, how long had they been sitting there? Suddenly a thought occurred to him, he didn’t even know her name, nor did she know his. “My name is Drake by the way” he said looking back at her. It was awfully rude of him not to introduce himself earlier.

That was the question of why Vladimir hadn’t come himself instead of sending his oh so lovely friend to do so for him. But how would he had been protecting her if the wolf beat her and made her bleed. Licentra crossed her legs revealing a slowly disappearing scar that was in place of a rather large and deep cut. “Maybe.” She whispered, her eyes glazing over as she spaced out for a moment, her eyes not moving from the scar. “Thank you.” She responded softly as she glanced up at him again with a growing smile. He seemed to be rather attractive from her point of view, partially due to the fact that he was comforting her when no one else ever would.
“Um…but I shouldn’t touch you.” She paused and winced at what she just said. “Umm…well, you are a stranger is what I meant. I didn’t mean to imply anything else.” She babbled a bit worried that he would take offense to such things. She bit her lower lip and silenced herself as she was now punching herself on the inside. She was acting out of character and she was clueless as to why at this point. “I’m sorry.” She whispered. She was apologizing for something that really was quite innocent.
Befuddled by her little issue, she almost forgot to speak in response to him introducing himself. She had finally come to the realization that they hadn’t introduced themselves. She laughed softly at that fact that they had been just meeting and chatting without knowing each other’s names. “Nice to meet you Drake.” She said, attempting a soft smile that hid the uneasiness that flooded her body. “I’m Licentra Williams.” She added as she glanced around as a few stores began closing down. “Um…did you want to go somewhere instead of sitting out in the middle of nowhere?” She said, the last few words getting lost as she glanced up, her eyes connecting with his again as nothing but silence accompanied them. Her body ceased movement a bit uneasy as she felt a bit drawn to him as cliché as that sounds. [/blockquote] Notes: none Muse: great!

Drake smiled as she thanked him, he wasn’t completely sure why she was thanking him but he liked it anyway. He must have been doing something for her to say thanks to him. Not very many people around these parts knew the word thanks and it was nice to hear it every once and a while. “You’re Welcome” he said with a smile and he looked out into the darkness before them. Briefly he wondered what the time was, but didn’t linger on the thought for long, after all who really cares what the time was, he wasn’t tired and he was enjoying the company he had. After explaining that he didn’t mind her touching him, he chuckled at her response. Just because he was a strange didn’t mean she couldn’t touch him. “If you feel that way then that’s okay with me” he said and smiled glancing over to her.
“Hopefully soon we won’t be strangers anymore and i would have to pleasure of your touch” he said and quickly looked away, he couldn’t believe he had just said that, it was so corny. “No need to apologise” he said and looked over to her again and he smiled. She really was embarrassed by what had just happened. It was kind of cute in a way, but Drake would never let it known that he thought it. After a short silence he told her his name in then silence again. He smiled as he waited for her name in return. Finally she spoke, Licentra. “Well its very nice to meet you Licentra” he said and took hold of her hand closest to him and brought it up to his lips and place a gentle kiss on her knuckles. He placed her hand back on her leg and looked away, he was starting to feel embarrassed now and he hated the feeling. She then broke the silence and asked if he wanted to go some place else.
“sure that would be great” he said and got to his feet and stretched himself out. He hated sitting in the same place for too long. So if she hadn’t of suggested they move then it wouldn’t have been long before he did. He could feel the bones in his back cracking as he stretched and it felt fantastic. He looked back down to Licentra on the bench and smile holding out his hand to her. “My lady” he said and gave her a cheesy smile, just a little something to bring the smile back to her face. He hoped that she had a sense of humour a little like his otherwise she was just going to think he was an idiot. It wouldn’t have been the first time a woman has thought that about him.

Licentra’s eyebrows furrowed as she glanced over at him and laughed softly. “You certainly aren’t making this easy for being so kind.” She teased him at the fact that he was fine with her being overly cautious in this situation, but part of her wanted to knock down the force that was holding her back, otherwise known as her conscience. Licentra sighed and thought back to the last time she was in love. Wait…stop…she was never really in love with anyone so why should she hold back the chance at this? She didn’t know. “Umm…I’ve never found another person to belong to before, just to let you know. As in I’ve never been in a relationship before. And… I’m afraid at this point, that if I get involved, I might like screw up or hurt you.” She said softly, her skin between her eyes coming together in worry.
A smile spread across her lips as she blushed more. “Possibly. But hmm..you might have to whisk me away first.” She whispered in response to his corny statement that made her feel completely happy for once in a long time. She winked at him after her last statement. She figured she would make him feel a little less embarrassed and more comfortable talking with her. This wasn’t going anywhere if everything was awkward all of the time and she wasn’t about to let him just float away from her. She smiled sweetly as he kissed her knuckles. A very kind gesture spoke a few things about him that she much cherished and respected about him. “You are flattering me a bit, do you know that?” She grinned a bit as her eyes also smiled this time.
She watched him rise to his feet and outstretch his hand to her. As he spoke, she giggled a bit adorably as she took his hand and rose to her feet. “Good sir.” She curtseyed saying what she did with a good impression of a British accent. She smirked a bit as she paused before going, her eyes scanning his expression. She wanted to kiss him as rapid as that sounded. She thought for a moment before slowly bringing her lips to his, her fingers coming to gently rest on the back of his neck. Hey, what is there left to lose? She was hoping he wouldn’t mind this kiss and maybe would even respond in a positive manner. Licentra slowly pulled back from the kiss, her eyes still closed as she slowly opened them to see his response now feeling a bit nervous.

Drake smiled at her comment, he was trying hard to be a nicer person and it seemed to be working. With her it wasn’t hard to be kind; she just brought it out in him. “Thanks” he said not really knowing what to say in return. He had never really had a conversation like this before. His conversations usually consisted of filth, as in naughty talk. Having a real conversation with someone was a fantastic change. Licentra was the perfect person to talk to, as she was just like him, alone confused and a little unaware of other. What other way to learn new things together. Even if it was just a “friend” relationship they had.
Her next words got him thinking, he had never really ever been in a real relationship before and he wouldn’t really know what to do. “You never really belong to someone, if the other person in the relationship loved you enough then they wouldn’t feel that you belong to them” he said thinking for a moment, what else he could add to that to make it make a little more sense. “Being in love with someone doesn’t make you the other person’s property” he said looking up to her with a smile. “Just having you around should be enough” he said finishing up the same rambling session that he just divulged into.
As she spoke about screwing up and hurting him he gave a small smile. They had only just met and sure they were connecting but it didn’t mean they had to jump straight into a relationship they would probably both and up ruining anyway. Perhaps getting to know each other better and learning how to be in a decent friendship first might allow them to be in a successful relationship. “Well you’re not alone there, just being your friend is good enough for me” he said hoping to make her feel a little better. It was the true he spoke; he really did want to be her friend and get to know her. She would be the first person.
After being his corny self he waited and he heard her whisper something about being whisked away and a smile spread across his face. He was glad to know that she had the right sort of sense of humour to fit the nonsense that came out of his mouth, sometimes he didn’t even think about things before he spoke. After planting a kiss on her knuckles he couldn’t help but chuckle, she was just like him in so many ways. It was nice to find someone that was just like him. It was then he was surprised but the kiss she planted on his lips. It was something he wasn’t expecting but he enjoyed it all more.
There wasn’t anything wrong with a couple of friends sharing a kiss. He had never kissed a friend before and it was so much nicer then kissing the strangers that he had picked up in the past. She pulled away from him and he could see the expression on her face, she had obviously not thought about her action before doing it now she was nervous and possibly a little embarrassed. There were no need for that and he was going to let her know that. “Hmm, well that was very good, but I think we can do better then that” he said and before she could say a word he had his arm around the back of her neck and the other around the small of her back and brought her close into his body.
He dipped her back ward and slowly went in close to her and placed his lips on her. The kiss started of slow but soon turned into a heated passionate kiss. His lips parted causing herself to follow suit, his tongue them slowly entered her mouth and started to dance with hers. After a few minuted he straightened her up and pulled away from her slowly. He dropped his arms from her body gently and smiled. “That was definiatly better” he said with a smile. “Shall we?” he said and held out his arm to her. So much for taking things slowly and getting to know each other. He had never enjoyed a kiss like that one before.

Licentra smiled softly at his words about how love should be and he was right. “Yeah, I guess that goes to show you I’ve never been in love. But there is always a first for everything in life, I guess.” She whispered softly, her eyes now resting on the ground. She hoped maybe, just maybe he would be someone she would love for a long time. She was getting ahead of herself, but right now, there was nothing else that she was counting on, for the rest she was in a way leaving behind. She had always left herself being miserable and didn’t try to find the good in this life and it came back to haunt her, but she wasn’t going to let that happen anymore.
Licentra thought their meeting was very unique and special. They were hitting off on so many levels that she almost wondered where he came from because she’s been looking for someone she could relate to. She just wondered how far this would go and where it would lead. She had a feeling this might fly by tonight and be an excellent night for the both of them, but where would that lead them. Licentra felt a bit of uneasiness now at the thought. What if they went too far and ended up falling apart? She shook her head just once, but a little visibly because she knew she was now holding herself back. She wanted to let herself have someone for once without questioning her heart.
She heard his words and all the sudden her heart sank a few levels. She didn’t say those things to prohibit them from having a relationship. She actually desired maybe becoming more than friends, but she wasn’t about to make a fool of herself that way. She did feel a little hurt though, but maybe patience was all she needed right now. Although, she had this strange feeling that this wasn’t the end to this conversation. Her eyes rose to his as she sighed gently as she was trapped in her own thoughts. Now she was questioning him a bit. She paused and was hoping her face didn’t say it all right now.
She loved the little ironic corny moment they had there. She laughed softly at it and this actually made it more enjoyable. This had been the first time in a long time where all she had to do was focus on something good and the first time in while that she actually felt like someone important or happy even. He seemed like a gentlemen and someone she could love for a long time. Nothing could describe how she felt right now. It is hard to say because she has never really felt this way before or let herself feel this way.
Licentra was feeling quite embarrassed for a moment before he responded. He caught her off guard a bit by his response. She had expected him to just say they were moving to fast or something, but no, he made her feel as though it was perfectly fine and like he even wanted to have her kiss. She caught herself breathless as he brought her tight to him as her eyes stared up at his with mixed emotions, all frozen in one instant, trying to explode into one action.
As he dipped her back and kissed her, she closed her eyes, one of her hands coming around the back of his neck and the other gripping his shoulder gently as she brushed her lips back against his. A soft moan came from her lips as she brushed her tongue against his. She felt as though it was natural, to have so much passion, to share that passion with him. After it ended, she returned a smile and nodded as though it was time to head off, which was actually perfect. She slid in her arm around his as she began walking in the direction of her apartment. “We shall. And it shouldn’t be too long.” She said softly.
As she kept walking, a silence arose between them, but it was a content one at that. But seeing as how they were nearly there, she figured she might ask one question of him for now. “Tell me something of yourself. Anything.” She said, glancing at him with gentle eyes as they shifted up to the starry sky that was actually a bit perfect right now. As bad as the night had started out, it was ending so much better.

What she said was turn, there was a first time for everything and falling in love was no exception, you just had to find someone that was the right one and you knew you could spend the rest of your life with them. The thought of love had never crossed his mind before now, meeting Licentra sparked something in his body that he never knew existed. Tonight was absolutely perfect. Oh Jesus was he turning soft? No he was just falling in love for the first time. “I’m doing a lot of things for the first time, tonight” he said and looked away; he cared what she thought of him, for the first time in his life. He never cared what a woman thought of him but with Licentra he felt different.
Although from what he said he felt as though he had made Licentra sad, it wasn’t his intention at all. He just wanted to not hurt her; he thought that if they took things slowly then it would prevent any screw ups. By the looks of things, they didn’t need to go slowly; they were connecting in such a way he knew he couldn’t ever do something that would hurt her, physically and mentally. He knew that if she accidently did something would normally hurt someone else he would forgive her in an instant. He wasn’t easily hurt and just because she was a little out of practice in relationships he wasn’t going to condemn her for a mistake. He was sure she would forgive him as well, he wouldn’t do on purpose.
Drake felt great after what had happened between them. He didn’t feel as though it was going to change anything between them. He was extremely attracted to Licentra and he could feel as though something was growing within him, he wasn’t quite sure but she was sure it was love. Never being in love before he wasn’t sure of what it felt like, but he hoped it was like this. He felt on top of the world and nothing could touch him. He wouldn’t let anything happen to Licentra now that she was in his life he was going to protect her to the best that he could. She didn’t have to worry about being hurt anymore. He would never hurt her and he would never let anyone else hurt her.
He smiled when she took his arm and agreed to move on, it felt natural having her on his arm, and it was like she was meant to be there. All his life she should be there next to him. Now that she was in his life and by his side she would always be there. He would fight to keep her and he wouldn’t let anyone take her away from him. He had never felt this way about a woman before; well technically he had never felt this way about anyone. He always thought that he would end up with another male. He had always swang both ways, but after meeting her he knew he was destined to be like a woman, her to be exact. He was her man and she was his woman.
He needed to slow down; he was getting ahead of himself here. They weren’t even truly together yet and he was already planning out their lives. It was so not like him. But he liked it, he was trying to change the way he was and having her just made it all the more easier to do so. He was no long the aggressive, crazy, murderous Lycan that he used to be, he was definitely softening up. He sighed as they walked and the silence was between them, but it wasn’t one of those awkward silences it was a comfortable meant to be silences and it gave him time to think and take in her being. The silence was soon broken with a question; he looked down to her next to him and smiled.
It was an honest question and he had to think about what would be interesting to share. He smiled when he thought of something to say, “Well, I’m terrified of the rain” he said and smiled down at her. He wasn’t ashamed to tell her that, it was one of his biggest fears, he really didn’t know what. Every time it rains he freaks out and has panic attacks. He has to stay inside and keep himself occupied. It was a really strange thing to tell her but it he was happy enough to share it with her. They walked on and soon they were coming up to a house and, with the assistance of Licentra he felt her moving towards it.
It was a nice house, it was a little bigger than his own, but he wasn’t worried about size it was only him living there. “So tell me something about you” he said smiling as they walked up the drive way towards the front door. Once they were there he opened the door for her and held it open, just like a gentleman should.

Licentra smiled wide as she then glanced over at Drake. “Drake, there isn’t anything to be ashamed of.” She whispered as she brought up her hand to gently tug his face to look at her. “Hun, don’t ever be embarrassed around me for you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Who you are and what you do around me and maybe what you did in the past, it does matter, but it won’t effect how I feel about you. You are special and starting to mean quite a bit to me. Nothing will ever take that away and I will never make you feel like something is wrong with you for how you are.” She said with caring eyes as she took in his. His were so endearing and in their own way beautiful.
Licentra nodded as he explained that he was afraid of the rain. It was not necessarily uncommon for people to be scared of rain, but maybe a little. She figured there was something behind the little issue and wasn’t going to ruin the evening by prying up old wounds. Licentra’s head came to rest on his shoulder for a moment as she watched the house grow closer and closer. She sighed as Kat was in her house, should be sleeping but that doesn’t mean she was. She felt a bit weird about holding this girl, but she needed to get used to the idea because soon she would be the legal parent of her. And if she couldn’t have that, maybe she would just settle for watching over the girl secretly. She honestly didn’t know.
Licentra almost unlocked the door before pausing and looking down, not knowing how to say this. “I have or will have a daughter, Drake. I’m adopting a girl who I helped not too long ago.” She said glancing up at him for approval as she didn’t know how he would react. She was hoping that it wouldn’t be a problem, but maybe there was something about Drake that didn’t meet the eye. But, she was hoping that they could work through problems if there would be any. Licentra then sighed as she knew she was getting a bit ahead of herself, but she couldn’t resist it and honestly didn’t care as long as he didn’t either.
She heard the door click open as Licentra was still staring at Drake and her attention was suddenly directed towards the young beautiful girl standing in the door frame. Licentra bent down and hugged Kat with a smile. “Hi hun. Why aren’t you in bed little one? It’s almost 10 at night.” She said as she eyed the girl with a prying smile. Kat returned with a very cute tone and said, “Well, I was just waiting for you and wanted to see you before I went to bed.” Licentra laughed softly before standing up. “Honey, this is Drake, a rather good friend of mine and Drake, this is Katarynza. Come on, we must go in and maybe even get you to bed. It’s not good for you to be up this late.” She patted Kat’s head before moving into the house finally.
“Go get your pajamas that I bought you earlier today on and then come back when you are finished.” She said softly to Kat as she pulled her gently against her body in a hug before the girl ran up the stairs. She pulled off her jacket, her short jean shorts still in tact, but her shirt had a few cuts in it, under which some scars were left. Licentra shivered softly, her fingers running over one scar. “Damn werewolf. Sorry, I’m mad at every werewolf who chooses to be a monster just because they can.” She growled softly before breathing in and out in a sigh.
Licentra turned to face Drake who was right there and studied his eyes for a moment. Looking for an answer as though she was hoping he approved and wouldn’t disappear right before her eyes. Her lips gently came to brush over his, this kiss intimate in it’s own way. She heard Kat coming down the stairs and stopped kissing Drake before she came to see them. She wasn’t ready to quite talk about this with Kat yet. But maybe tomorrow, if Drake would be staying the night. “Take a seat Drake. I must go tuck this little one in.” She whispered before smiling at Kat and heading in her direction.
She moved into the first guest room with Kat upstairs, a very plain room that had yet to be designed for a little girl. Licentra smiled as Kat wandered into her bed. Licentra moved forward kissing Kat on the head. “Goodnight my little darling.” She whispered before hugging Kat. “Remember, I will always be here for you when no one else will, okay hun?” She said, brushing the little girl’s hair back getting a soft nod. “Would you like to be tucked in?” She smirked softly as Kat responded with an excited nod. Licentra tucked the little girl in before slipping out. “Goodnight.” Kat said goodnight in response and it made Licentra smile.
She then closed the door, the light flicking off as she headed down the stairs. She stopped on the last step, her gaze now coming to rest on Drake. “I’m sorry if I caught you off guard.” She said in a gentle tone before moving forward next to him. “She lost her parents and I found her in an alley, being attacked by a vampire. I just protected her. And I’ve grown attached to her, hun. So I’m adopting her and taking her in.” She whispered as she came to sit down next to him on the couch.
Silence grew strong as it was a bit uneasy, but she wasn’t going to allow this to last long. "I think it's time to make you feel a bit more welcome, my dear." Licentra leaned forward and kissed him deeply. Her arms slipped around him tightly, one around his back and the other resting on the back of his neck. She felt like a bit of a stranger to him for a moment, but she wasn’t going to let that destroy this. She continued kissing him, but if he wanted to continue, he would have to take the next step.
