, general description
Toria has a certain unique charm to her when it comes to beauty. She's very pale, although she spends much time outside, and is noticeably thin, something her classmates were jealous of as she was growing up. Her weight has been somewhat of an issue for her entire laugh, being she can hardly gain anything, no matter what the circumstance. She's not very tall, but because of her body structure, she is a bit gangly looking at times.
Her face is heart shaped and very child-like. Her expressions always give her this sort of innocent look, reflecting her "uncorrupted" mind. Her lips appear thin, though they're actually a bit fuller than normal, and her clothes are pastel blends of the color that could match her skin. And her eyes: oh, her eyes. They're a soft mixture of a silver gray and a topaz-like color, with a glassy overtone to them. Her eyelashes curl up over them to they're visible most of the time, even when she looks down.
But god knows, she hardly sees the beauty behind them.[/ul]

, personality
Toria is quiet, for the most part. She isn't scared of people like many others think, but she really just enjoys keeping to herself, as well as being alone. Although meek, she is very sweet, and tries to be helpful when others ask for advice or help. She isn't one for grudges (with a few exceptions), and tries not to hold little things against anyone.
Always thinking about something, she harbors many secrets, which is a correct assumption of anyone who's watched her grow. In reality, she's a faerie, though she hates it beyond the capacity of all ability to despise. Honestly, she wants nothing more than a normal life, away from the hassle of all of this magical stuff.
But, honestly, does she even have a choice?[/ul]

, history
Seventeen years ago, two faeries put their newborn in place of a human in the town of Nevermore. The new parents, both humans, were ecstatic to have their little one, and raised her with all of the love they could muster. They named her Victoria, and she seemed to be the biggest bundle of energy. The parents were happy, as was their little one, and it all took off from there.
However, the tale didn't end in a happily ever after. The facade ended when the little girl turned three, and the parents took her on a trip to the country. There, she fell in a field of clovers, discovering that she was a faerie, like the ones in books. Her mother was the only one who noticed this change, and tried to push the thought away. However, that same month, her mother fell very ill, resulting in her death. Her father, unable to take care of the baby, put her up for adopting.
After six months alone in social services, falling in and out of illness, an older couple came along and adopted her, along with a baby boy close to her age. The husband was a mariner, having their house right near the sea, and the wife worked as a piano teacher, enabling her with lessons. Life seemed to go well then for Victoria, now in her natural habitat and with people that actually cared about her.
Of course, that didn't mean she let all of the bad go. As she got older and ventured out more often, she started to look more into faeries and such, to learn about herself. There, she met a boy by the name of Scorpio, a well known town "hooligan". He explained some of the things she needed to know, about changelings and such, and then it clicked. She came to the realization then that her "biological" parents were actually humans, and she'd only been a replacement. Enraged, she decided to never forgive the faeries that had her in the first place.
By then, she was nearly fifteen, and her parents had decided it was best to let her head into high school with the rest of the neighborhood kids. Out of place with the humans, she spent six hours there, every day, watching the same senior named Scorpio send smirks in her direction. Who would have guessed that he was her biological brother, and a Kelpie at that. Even in the last two years, Toria still hasn't noticed.
Even with that suspicious grin on his face, she ignored him, walking on to the sea.

Hearing her love's reply, a smile grew across Maura's lips as joy spread throughout her entire being. Resting her head against her pillow, she shut her eyes for a moment, just taking in everything at once. Still, she wasn't used to the fact that she was going to be a mother in a matter of months, and although it scared her to bits, she was thrilled all the same. She often wondered if Cordelia sometimes felt that way as well, overwhelmed in a hopeful sort of way, but always brushed it off to the side when she watched her already making a connection with their little one. Her mind wandered to the future then, and she was curious to see what the oncoming months would bring to them. Would their baby be more like one, and less like the other? Was it possible that they might have the same troubles that the couple equally had growing up? She shook the thought away and let love wash over her once more.
And then the positive thoughts seeped back in. She imagined what it would be like, cradling their child in her arms and watching her grow. As she used to envision back so long ago, she felt that they would bond from birth. Already, Maura sensed this amazing connection, and she could hardly stand the wait any longer. Still, she knew she had to, but dreaming was a nice enough substitute. Their little one kicked in response, and she was beaming as she opened her eyes. "I'm so excited." she admitted, curling into her love more. Cordelia's warmth washed over her, soothing her. She blinked slowly, but felt no sleep would come. Biting into her lip, she giggled quietly. "Would it be ridiculous to even attempt to sleep, at this point?" Her head resting gently in the crook over her love's neck, she idly traced the seams of her shirt, mind still drifting a bit.
Their child moved again, and her mother's smile grew.[/ul]

They are ravenous beasts because I constantly forget to feed them. They bite, by the way. And love flesh. Don't make me release the hounds. O _ O
