, general descriptionShay just looks happy. She kinds shines all the time with this sort of inner light. She is pretty small with creamy skin and bright blond hair. Her eyes are big and she shows them off with eyeliner. She also has a bright, straight smile that she flashes often. She's pretty, but not in the traditional sense.
Shay is a little on the short side, but also very thin, so it works for her. She is also very agile, she has to be to make up for the fact that she isn't as strong as most of the hunters. She thinks about whether or not she's pretty, maybe just a little too much.[/ul]

, personalityShay likes to be doing something, moving, just having a great time. She really believes that life is short so she should live it while she can. She loves her friends and just being in social situations. She does her absolute best to make sure all her friends are happy all the time because more than anything else, happiness matters to her.
Shay automatically draws people to her. They usually like her and just want to hang out. She realized it's because she works to hard to make everyone happy. To Shay, if you're not happy, then you're doing something wrong. She's never believed in making yourself miserable in hopes that it might pay off later. Who knows if you're gonna live that long?[/ul]

, history Shay was born right in Nevermore. She was the second of two children. As she was raised, she learned that her brother did everything right, unlike her. He was the perfect boy. He was the Hunter that the family could be proud of. Shay didn't want to be a Hunter, but she knew she didn't have a choice. As a child, she would spend hours, miserable hours, trying to make herself better, the person who her parents wanted. She thought that one day it would all pay off. But Jonathan was a rising star. He was the perfect one.
Shay watched her brother become the thing that her parents wanted, while she stayed the weak one, the disappointment. And even then, Shay thought she could deal with it if she could just hate Jonathan, hate him and blame him for everything. But no matter how hard Shay tried, she couldn't hate her brother, because he really was the perfect guy. He loved his little sister, took care of her, defended her against her parents accusations. He made sure that she got out, did stuff, instead of sit at home and torture herself. Her brother really was her savior.
Then her parents were killed. Shay almost couldn't believe it; it was the last thing she ever expected. A raid had come on their house, late one night when she was 13, her brother 16. A band of Lycans had attacked. Jonathan had protected his sister, but their parents were overwhelmed. Shay was shocked. Her torturers were gone. Jonathan was distraught, broken by the sudden death of their parents. It was then that Shay realized the only thing that really mattered in the world was that she lived her life to the fullest, the happiest she could.
Shay spent the next year pulling Jonathan out of his depression. She had found her salvation in his destruction, so she felt that it was her job to put him back together again. The two siblings became closer than ever and after a year, Jonathan recovered to his former glory. Shay hasn't cared about being a good Hunter since then. She loves life and wants to just live. However, she's not nearly as happy as she always acts. When she's alone, or sometimes while she's asleep, she relives the terrors of her childhood. [/ul].

Sorrow couldn't help a little twitch of his lips as the girl grumbled irritably about the snow. He bit his lip, eyes shining, 'Well, as I recall, you're the one who tried to slice my face open with a knife, so it's not like the snow is the worst thing I could have done to you.' he pointed out. All the same, Sorrow felt vaguely guilty, and looking at the girl in her skirt, he almost shivered a little for her, himself. Oh hell. Sorrow shrugged off his toasty warm hoodie, half regretting it as he held it out to Lilith. Part of him was screaming that it was a stupid thing to do, the girl had just attacked him, after all. But she was harmless to him. He could handle her easy. But Sorrow felt almost like laughing when she tried to warn him about the hunters. Before he could answer, she'd already moved on to asking what had happened to him... Well, he couldn't exactly tell her the truth. He could lie better than almost anyone, though, so he decided to answer in the best way he could.
Sorrow took a couple of steps closer to Lilith, but not in a threatening way, just like he was confident enough to know she wouldn't stop him. 'In my life, hunters are the last thing that I worry about. And I think you probably have a good reason to be afraid of them, Little Half-Blood.' Hah, see how she would like that. She wasn't the only one who could spot a half-blood out there. He knew her secret too. Sorrow flashed her a genuine smile, just a tiny bit tinted with the pain he felt in his whole body. 'Ever crash a four wheeler?' he asked. It was at least part of the truth. He had crashed a four wheeler. He'd just crashed it into a high security building, been attacked by various guards, jumped on top of a moving vehicle, jumped off the vehicle, and proceeded to be chased by men with machine guns for 3 hours. But the four wheeler part was all she needed to know. Besides, who would believe him, anyways?
Sorrow shrugged, trying not to wince at the pangs of agony it sent through his shoulders. The adrenaline that had flooded him when Lilith attacked had faded away, only to be replaced by a dull ache that demanded to know why he was such an idiot. Did he have a death wish? He supposed it would seem that way. He didn't, at least, he didn't think so. She'd half-asked about his training, he realized. Well, it couldn't hurt to give her a half truth, could it? Probably, but Sorrow didn't live on probably. 'Yeah, well, most half-bloods aren't me. And I'm probably more trained than you hunters. Why do you think I don't worry about them?' The cocky smile was back, showing off the oh so characteristic self assurance.[/ul]
` are there giants too, in the dance?
This application was made exclusively for Nevermore by Maura Lee Bee. Steal it, and I will release the hounds when you least expect it. And they're not cute little puppies either. They are ravenous beasts because I constantly forget to feed them. They bite, by the way. And love flesh. Don't make me release the hounds. O _ O
