Kira gave Faylinn a small smile when she thanked her. Kira wasn’t used to being thanked for anything. The Unseelie King usually doesn’t even care that she had completed the task he had given her and her customers at the tattoo shop were only interested in getting into her pants. When she finished their tattoo and turned then down for anything they wanted afterwards they would just throw the money at her and leave, no thanks no nothing. If felt nice to get a sincere thank you from someone. “Your welcome” she said and watched the dirt path as she walked on. Then Faylinn said something that made Kira feel a little sorry for her, she said that she didn’t like being alone. How long had she been on her own?
“Well you have me now” Kira said still with her eyes out in front of her. She felt a wave of something rush over her. Was it happiness? Perhaps it was, was Kira actually happy that she had made a new friend. A girl that she felt protective over her. A girl that she knew that she could like for a long time. Even if Faylinn decided to join a court in the end, Kira would still be her friend. She wouldn’t turn against her. Faylinn then said something that made her smile and give a little laugh. “Well lets hope so” she said and held Faylinn’s arm a little tighter. Kira was going to make sure that Fay was going to be okay and she didn’t know why but she had the feeling that she wasn’t going to join a court. Kira hoped so anyway.
What could they talk about? There was a silence between then that a little uncomfortable but it was nice. It wasn’t long until Fay broke the silence by saying “So” and Kira thought of something to say quickly but nothing seemed to come to her. Thankfully Fay said something and it made Kira think about the on coming storm that was coming, it her meeting with Fay and their conversation she had forgotten all about the rain and she frowned knowing that it was going to rain and her clothes were going to get all wear and her boots were going to get all muddy. Within seconds of Fay’s words heavy drops of water started to fall. She groaned to herself as she felt the wet coldness of the water on her skin. She hated the rain.
Kira stopped walking when Fay didn’t and she looked up to the sky through the trees. The sky was dark and the clouds were thick. She instantly then looked down at her dress and panicked about them getting wet but it wasn’t long after that did she forget all about it and smile. She had plenty of dresses and it wasn’t like she didn’t have the money to buy a new one. She looked to Fay and took hold of her hand. “Would you like to come back to my shop? Its much more drier there?” She asked giving the beautiful girl a smile. She was having a good day, an even better one now that she had met Faylinn, she wasn’t going to let a little bit of rain ruin it for her. She hasn’t been this happy in a long time.
