over all, athena is probably about as gorgeous as the goddess athena herself. at least, that is the way athena she herself as. she likes to think she is as fierce as a god/goddess and tends to always try to put the fear right into anyone that happens to look at her, whether in a good way or not. though she is a bit on the short side, most people see that as a problem, as if her small height and weight is not something to fear. those people always are shown wrong.
because of her looks and that she is a female, she feels she has an advantage over some of the other hunters around her. she can put on a sweet innocent act and pretend as if she is lost and vulnerable to bring the non-human creatures right in her traps. because of her small frame, it makes perfect for fighting and be able to run fast to catch her enemies. athena is really just a broken girl on the inside. she has many a shadows that haunt her at night, though you would never know unless you really know the girl inside and out. which, most do not. athena doesn't allow people to get inside of her, she has never been in a serious relationship, because she could never really trust another man. she see's being vulnerable as a weakness and tends to never let it show if she ever happens to become vulnerable. she is the type of girl that doesn't like for her fear to show, because she knows that it can cause her life.
being a hunter has help to make athena create a bit of a hard shell around herself. though she does loves interacting with other humans, she will never willingly allow them to know her weakness and flaws. she knows that people can be deceiving and stab her right in the back. though she does have these inner flaws, the girl really is a sweet thing. she enjoys to laugh and smile along with her friends and she strives to be the perfect hunter and being the best, just as her father was. athena was born in montreal, canada. she sometimes ends up having a bit of a french accent to her voice, especially when she is very mad and upset or when she actually allows the fear to show to who ever is causing it. of course, fear was really not much of a problem for athena at such a young age living in montreal. she had a happy childhood, with plenty of friends and was always laughing and smiling along with them.
when people say that your life can change in a matter of seconds, they are not saying it just to say it, they say it because it's a fact. and usually, it's from personal experience. athena never believed it when people said such things, she didn't really think that a persons life could change drastically in a matter of seconds. but, she was just a naive child.
athena learned the hard way, just like others, how quickly ones life can really change. she was only sixteen years old, walking home from a friends house, because she only lived a few blocks away. she always thought she lived in a safe neighborhood and city. apparently, she was wrong. a tall shadowy figure had been following her home, she was only a block away, when she found herself with a hand covering her mouth to keep her from screaming and another wrapped tightly around her waist to keep her still. though she struggled against the stranger, it wasn't enough, because as she learned later, it was a vampire who happened to be attacking her. her attacker dragged her off into a darken alley way, pinning her tightly against a wall. when her mouth was uncovered, she has screamed her lungs off, but it was cut short by the feel of teeth stabbing at her neck. athena had felt the man's hands roaming all over her, but she felt numb and couldn't even move to fight for herself. she silently begged and prayed that someone heard her scream..
eventually, everything had went black for athena and was unconscious for almost two days. when she finally came around, she found herself sitting straight up in bed, screaming her lungs off and fighting against whoever and whatever was trying to hold her down. when she finally realize it was her mom and dad trying to calm her down, she broke down and cried her eyes out, holding on desperately to her parents. athena had learned that she had been attacked, but her parents didn't tell her right away who or what it was. but, the attacker was caught. she found out that when someone came running to help her, they found athena lying unconscious and bleeding, with her attacker on top of her. lucky enough, her hero stopped the attacker in time before he could rape her and break her even more.
a few months later, athena and her parents left montreal and moved into nevermore. she never really knew about what her father's job was, but once they were in nevermore, her father explained everything to her. she became interested and yet scared at the same time. old wounds came open when her father told her that it was a vampire that had attacked her that night and it was a hunter that had saved her life. athena hated that having to be told all of that, made her feel weak and vulnerable. she told her father she wanted to be strong. wanted to be just like him, because, when she was just a toddler, she always adored her father and wanted to grow up and be like him. at first, her father told her no, but athena had convinced her mother to her side and they finally convinced her father to let her become a hunter.
now eighteen years old, athena has buried her past behind her, no one but her family really know of what wounds and scars that she hides deep down inside of her. she never speaks of what had happened to her those few years ago and she doesn't really plan on it. [/size][/ul][/color]
