, general description
Elijah from far away looks like any normal teenager his age. Though his clothes can appear to be a little darker than usual, he wears your basic jeans and hoodies with often the hood pulled over his head. With that in mind, it’s never a surprise when someone thinks he’s up to trouble. Usually though a glare with his icy blue eyes or noticing his toned body and that’s enough to intimidate someone to walk the other way. The muscles and tanner complexion is a nice trait he inherited from his father, who carried the werewolf gene.
Unlike other people running around Nevermore, Eli doesn’t ‘decorate’ himself with tattoos or piercings. He never saw the reason in getting them. From a violent experience with a werewolf when he was younger, he does have two claw mark scars going down his side and the back of his shoulder. Even with all these dark characteristics, Elijah appears to have very soft features. He has thick lips, smooth skin, and dark hair that often covers part of his face.

Elijah is pretty much a loner. Humans seem to sense there is something wrong about him and other werewolves are too disgusted to look at him. Being a half-blood has few perks, and overall it makes him feel like he has no place. His main goal is to figure out how to become a full human. He despises himself for the werewolf blood in his veins and is afraid something bad will happen because he’s so unstable right now. Using magic to turn full human would also stop the urges he’s been getting. Blood by itself drives him nuts. The smell of his own blood or another’s makes the wolf within him take control. Almost as if he has split personalities, he completely changes from trying to avoid people to trying to see more of that crimson liquid. It’s one of the reasons his family exiled him from their pack, as he was too much of a threat to even others of his kind.
When not hating his genes, Eli is rather chill and can come off cold. He isn’t one to jump at chance to socialize or befriend people, as he would rather stay away from people until he’s “cured”. A few individuals will realize though that he’s not completely focused on becoming normal when he defends complete strangers. To tell you the truth, Eli was really sweet and a jokester before he found out his roots. Those characteristics make it impossible for him to watch humans be kidnapped by faeries or let a vampire gnaw on another human. Already angry when he sees those types of scenes, it isn’t hard to switch forms and tear the other supernatural creatures apart. In a way, how he looks more like a large domesticated German shepherd is actually the perfect canine form. Humans aren’t necessarily as scared of him, and sometimes other super natural creatures drop their guard thinking they are messing with just a stupid dog.
Eli is incredibly clever and can be very manipulative. He might steal faery food to bribe a sweet tooth for information, and can charm people to get a place to sleep for the night. He’s even gone to the point of switching into his wolf/dog form so a human takes him home when he needs a place to hide. Flirting, lying, threatening… he’s good at reading people and knowing what they want to hear. Of course, he would never use these talents to hurt people. Once he gets what he wants, he leaves it at that and won’t use it against the other person. Being so goal-oriented, it is rare he’d take a path that would divert from his current one. [/size][/ul]

, history
What type of life did Elijah have as a child? Like any person before their naiveness is taken away, his life was rather average. While his parents worked all day he went to school and hung out with his friends. He was never the most popular guy, but he was always laughing and joking around with his buddies. Back then he was the type of kid that made everyone else smile and poked fun at himself just to make a joke. When his freshman year in high school came around, nothing felt different. If anything, everything was going amazing. The only thing that changed was some of his relatives on his father’s side were visiting and staying in his house. Obviously he didn’t think there was anything odd about it…
One night the week his family was staying over he heard a ruckus in the room next to him where his cousin was sleeping. He could hear claws tapping on the wood floorboards and a lamp crashing in the room as it was pushed over, but he had no idea what was going on. Worried, he got up from his bed and went to the room, knocking on it at first. Repeatedly he called his cousin’s name and when he didn’t answer he pulled the door open. It surprised him to see the room empty with the nightstand overturned as he walked in, and for a few seconds he didn’t think anyone was in the room. That’s when he heard whimpering and turned to his left, seeing a large dog crying with its tail in between its legs. Part of him felt bad for the creature and took a step forward, wondering how the animal had gotten in the room. Before he could do anything it turned on him, and Eli turned to run out of the room. He was only able to let out a scream before the dog launched at him in record speed, driving its claws into his back. Crying out in pain he landed on the ground with a thud before the claws then ripped through his side as the dog pinned him to the ground. It was one of the scariest experiences of his life.
The dog would have completely ripped him apart if another dog hadn’t appeared, pulling the smaller dog off him. Terrified and bleeding, he looked up at his other relatives who rushed into the room. Some of them tried to calm down the dog that attacked him while the others pressed their hands on the wounds to try and stop the bleeding. In shock, Eli soon passed out, confused and disoriented with the whole situation. He woke up later in his bed with bandages over his deep cuts and his mother worriedly sitting next to him on his bed. As she realized he was awake, she kissed and hugged him before helping him downstairs to the living room. That’s when the shit hit the fan. His father’s family gathered there, with the cousin that slept in the room next to him looking at the ground shamefully, told him the truth. Everyone in the house were werewolves except for his mother who was human. His first question was what that made him, and his father looked and the ground, scratching the back of his neck. He told him they didn’t know. Other than being stronger than normal humans, he didn’t show any signs of having werewolf blood in his veins and they all were hoping the gene hadn’t carried over. At the time he thought his family was only looked out for him with that hope. Now though he knows that being a half-blood he was a shame to all of them.
A few months later after his wounds healed and his family returned to their own homes, Elijah got very sick. He had a hot fever and was stuck sweating in his bed for the next several days. Instead of the fever vanishing, in the middle of the night he found out his families hopes didn’t come true. All the sudden he felt his ribs breaking and his spine twisting. As he cried out in pain, his mother rushed in trying to comfort him before his father pulled her away, telling her it wasn’t safe. His mind went blank the rest of the transformation, but soon he was on all fours in a wolf form just like his cousin, but looking more like a large domesticated dog. Scared and terrified of himself, Eli ran out of the house past his parents into the woods behind his home. He was gone for three days before he returned, dirty with mud and splashes of blood from preying on deer and rabbits.
Already his father knew Eli was unstable. His reaction from that time on to blood was nerve-racking, his wolf side always wanting to take control when he just picked up the scent. Unlike other werewolves that slowly came to control the wolf inside him, he the hardest time. Strong emotions like anger often triggered it and he soon began to withdraw from his friends and social life. His father began to shun him for what he was, and none of his other family members with werewolf blood in them would aid him. The only person that hugged him and tried to tell him everything would be alright was his mother, though eventually he even blocked her out. One day he just left. He packed a few things in a bag, stole some money, and left everything behind him to travel around. His goal is to find someone to take away his curse, which is how he ended up in Nevermore. With so many supernatural creatures around, someones bound to know something that may help him…
