, physical flaws he has three deep scars on his right inner bicep where he was scratched by a werecat when he was nine .
, personal styleXanti doesn't really care about clothes. Mostly he wears jeans, t-shirts, hoodies... anything that's comfortable. Sometimes he doesn't even bother with shirts, if it's warm .
, general descriptionXanti has tan skin with dark hair and eyes. He's not very tall for his age, nor is he very broad. His face, while extremely well proportioned and attractive, looks a little young for his age. For his age and size, Xanti is extremely strong and surprisingly well muscled. If he didn't run around with out his shirt so much of the time, people might not believe that he had all that muscle.
Xanti has black hair that's very silky, especially if he let's it grow long, which he doesn't do as often as he used to. His eyes are so dark that they almost look black, but if you look very very carefully you can see that their actually a dark brown. His skin is dark tanned, from his Portuguese roots.[/ul]

, fearshaving to be normal, losing the sight .
, secretshe has the sight (from other humans), how much he knows about "the magical world", his childhood .
, personalityXanti is a generally happy person. He's a little bit wild, loving dares and other crazy things. Xanti doesn't back down from challanges, even when he knows he should. He loves nature and being out in it. He's extremely active, always running or swimming or having some sort of adventure. Xanti might be a tiny bit crazy, always wanting to do something. He hates having to wait for anyone or anything because he's so full of energy.
Xanti has the sight and, unlike most humans who are gifted, Xanti is not afraid of faeries and finds them fascinating. He has never tried to hide his ability to see through faerie glamour and they seemed to have taken a strange liking to him, letting him remain intact. He's always been strangely immune to their power, even to their wine. Xanti loves everything about the magical world and isn't afraid to interact with faeries. For some reason, they let him be and he often mingles with them. He's not stupid, though, and knows they might try to kidnap him.[/ul]

, history Xanti doesn't actually know much about his parents. He was raised by his aunt, Aitana, his mother's sister. He was born in Tavira, a city on the south coast of Portugal. His aunt never talked about his parents, only telling him that they died in an accident. Xanti knows better than to ask about it. It never mattered much to him, Aitana was his mother as far as he was concerned.
Aitana was well known through out the region for being a great fortune teller. Like Xanti, she had the sight. She taught him from a young age about faeries and all the other creatures of this hidden world. As a result, Xanti was never afraid of the faeries like he should have been. They seemed to have a strange respect for his aunt that she never explained and Xanti grew up among them.
Xanti grew up in a very free environment. He loved the woods and he was always out in nature, with faeries, or by himself. His aunt let him roam, learn, and she home-schooled him in her ways. Xanti learned all about nature, herbs, the old ways, and little magics that people had forgotten. He grew up half wild, himself.
His aunt wanted to make sure he was exposed to other culture, as well, though, so every summer she and Xanti would travel somewhere and spend the summer there. As a result, Xanti has friends all over the world and can speak many languages including: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese. He's also very good at picking up languages quickly if he's around it for any time.
Xanti has always loved life. When Xanti was 14, he and his aunt moved to Florida for the summer. They weren't technically legal, but they weren't planning on staying long. Something went wrong, though, and Xanti's aunt disappeared. He knew that it had something to do with the magical world, but he had no idea what. He's pretty sure it wasn't faeries, because they'd always treated his aunt with a large amount of respect and he had practically grown up with them.
Xanti believes that his aunt's disappearance may have something to do with the mysterious deaths of his parents that he knows so little about. He has been unwilling to return to his home in Europe, without finding his aunt. So for the past two years Xanti has been searching, occasionally gaining help from the faeries, who also seemed concerned about his aunt's well-being.
His travels have brought him to Nevermore, where his parents were when they were killed. He never knew what happened to them, but he did know where. So that was where Xanti decided to go. Though he's searching for his aunt, Xanti is still a wild child who loves to have fun. He loves nature and life, and dislikes large cities and the slow paced lives of so many people. Shine ran her fingers over the spines of the books that surrounded her, rising on tall shelves, all the way to the ceiling. Being so small, she thought that she could get lost here. She loved that idea. Jacob, the tall dark and handsome type, stepped up next to her, one arm twining around her waist, his fingers pressed against the bare skin that was exposed between her shirt and her low slung jeans. Shine didn't know Jacob very well, but what did that matter? He was just a distraction, really. She'd chosen the library because it was quiet, private. Shine didn't want to admit she'd chosen it because she didn't really think it counted as a date. Not really.
She could feel Jacobs breath, soft on the back of her neck. She knew where the date was going. Shine found she didn't really care either way. Jacob was gorgeous, all the fey were, but he was just another fey... so what did it really matter?
'hey...' Jacob turned her around, his fingers still lingering on the exposed skin.
Shine let him, 'Hey,' she gave him a small smile, not at all like the one she'd given another boy she knew, another boy who'd been pushing at the back of her mind like a disease. But he'd wanted it this way, he'd said as much.
Jacob's lips found her neck, soft, but dark, wanting something, more. And Shine let him kiss her, because what did she have to lose? She didn't care, not really. And what did she have to gain? Closure? Maybe... Shine closed her eyes and let Jacob kiss her, let herself try to forget it was him and not someone... someone else.[/ul]
` are there giants too, in the dance?
This application was made exclusively for Nevermore by Maura Lee Bee. Steal it, and I will release the hounds when you least expect it. And they're not cute little puppies either. They are ravenous beasts because I constantly forget to feed them. They bite, by the way. And love flesh. Don't make me release the hounds. O _ O
