, general description
As far as physical features go, many would consider the faery quite beautiful. His features to some are quite feminine, having longer hair then most men and as well enjoying wearing eyeliner. His eyes are quite colorful changing often from bright ice blue to dark honey brown to a forest green. Along with that changing, his hair can go from blonde to brunette to black. He has issues when it comes to looking the same way every day, his closet having an entire room for itself. He tries at least everything once though appears to like jewelry such as rings, earring and necklace, suit apparel like jackets of various colors and dress pants. In a way, he almost looks formal as he rarely wears jeans or sneakers. Everything for him has to be expensive and he does do weird combinations with gloves other items to get odd looks from other people. It’s his way of keeping things interesting and not blending in with the crowd. At all times though he is fashionable. It isn’t like his attire is random combinations that clash. If anything if it was dark or unusual he’d be very in style.
A reason Kane’s so intimidating other than his reputation is how he looks. He’s normally taller than anyone he’s talking too and isn’t as thin as a stick. Instead he does pack some muscle, which is the reason he doesn’t necessarily rely on his knights to do dirty work for him. His complexion is rather pale and often he shows an expression of uncaring and distaste. Though his voice, which many describe as velvety and warm, might lead you to believe he has a warm heart, don’t be mistake. He’d kill you in a heartbeat with those strong arms. Just because he looks like he’s the type to worry about breaking a nail, he is always more than happy to be covered with someone else’s blood. [/size][/ul]

, personality
It’s pretty obvious some of the traits a King would have. Kane is a very selfish man, believing he deserves everything no matter when or where. Of course, when he requests something, he isn’t like a little brat that think it’ll come to him in five seconds. He’s reasonable and can come off actually very proper and old fashioned, but after his ‘reasonable’ time limit expires… that very polite and easygoing shell cracks. He never raises his voice or swears at the person, but instead pins them to the wall by the throat while whispering in there ear how they should give them one reason why he should let their blood paint his walls right here and now. The King is highly sadistic, though he will never come off that way with his body language. He doesn’t carry a knife around or constantly cuts people up. Remember, he’s “proper”. Usually he just uses horrific words in that calm velvety voice that sends shivers down people’s spines. Even his smile, that strangers would find innocent, make his servant’s blood go cold. He doesn’t look like or act like a monster, which is all the more reason to be more scared of him.
Another thing that people don’t realize is he has a very short temper and doesn’t have an ounce of empathy. When someone insults him, he isn’t fazed and you might think you got away with it, but that’s only because he’s debating what’s the best way to hurt you later on. As far as caring he shows for others as he holds them or pities them, it’s all an act. Any sweet emotions from him are fake as he doesn’t even know what they feel like. He only uses them to perceive more sweet and gentleman like. If he wasn’t stone cold all the time, he’d never be able to manipulate others into doing things for him. Other than killing, manipulation is an activity he’s a master of. He’s the biggest liar in the world and quite rarely anyone can recognize him for it. Part of it is because he can make believable lies and the other part is how he just seems to truly believe them himself.
Kane isn’t exactly curious like a cat, but even after 500 years humans and other creatures still interest him. He often requests for humans or other species to be captured and brought to him to play with and then throw away like broken toys. Of course, a few do live. He has a soft spot for the odd or unique, including prodigies from artists to musicians and just those who don’t appear to mesh with the others of their species. It’s entertaining for him, and he can’t find the will to kill things that catch his interest. The behavior is childlike, but if you think realistically, after 500 years of seeing the same old thing over and over again, you’d want to keep the creatures that suddenly highlight it. Not only does he let them live, but he keeps them under his watch selfishly. Kane has always had trouble not being possessive.

, history
Kane had been a fairly average child, who was fairly close to both of his parents. His father was always out looking for ways to get money to put food on the table, but he still treasured his first son. When he was home he taught him how to be a proper gentleman to ladies and the basic workings of the world. Though they were far from wealthy, Azrael never believed poverty was an excuse to be uncivil. His mother on the other hand was always there to hold him when he scraped his knee, and read to him late at night when he couldn’t fall asleep. He treasured his mother to no end, hiding behind her when he met someone new and holding her hand when they left the house as a child. At the age of five the behavior hadn’t changed much and his mother took advantage of the closeness to teach him how to cook and how he could make a lot out of a little. She’d always tell him he was her little angel, and if anything until the age of six he had a happy life even if his family couldn’t afford anything.
One day everything just fell apart. Kane was at home with his mother, working in the kitchen to make a good dinner for Azrael came home when there was a banging on the door. Willa had been turning to leave the kitchen and answer it when the banging got louder to the point of someone knocking into it with there body to knock it down. Frightened she told Kane to hide under the table, which had a table cloth draped over it’s sides. At first he was timid, whimpering to his mother, asking what was happening, until she put on a sweet smile, kissed his forehead, and told him to hide and that everything was going to be okay. Doing what he was told, Kane hid under the table, hearing the door knocked down and two pairs of feet walking in their house until they made it to the kitchen. Willa asked the other faeries what they wanted, and they began to talk about how Azrael hadn’t been paying them some money they needed. She informed them she’d give him the message, but as Kane peeked from under the tablecloth he saw them shake their heads. They stated he would get the message, but in a different way. One of them then pulled out an sword and then before she could back up stabbed her with it. As she gasped, the sword was pulled out of her and slashed across her body again, some of the blood getting on the table cloth and running across Kane’s face. Shocked, Kane backed back under the table cloth, eyes wide, frozen in shock. He didn’t even wipe off the blood or remember hearing his mother’s body fall or the men leaving. When his father came back to discover Willa dead and Kane under the table, his son wouldn’t move. He was stuck in a trance for over week only to start bawling the moment he awoke from it.
After that, Kane’s father and him moved to a different area to escape those memories. Of course, the damage was done. Kane knew life wasn’t always happiness. People could be taken away without the killer considering for a second how it would affect other people. It made his heart break losing his mother and made him almost numb to everything. As he grew up other kids bullied them for not being ‘normal’, always in his own little world, feeling like no one could relate or understand them. To him, everyone was so stupid and naïve. Decades turning into centuries, Kane warmed up to the point of acting like he was like everyone else. He was able to be an active participant in the unseelie court. Kane had no trouble moving up the ranks, persuading the right people while mercilessly killing others. Murdering at first was something he was hesitant about, but eventually he found himself quite fond of watching people fall and that glow of life leave their eyes. Always being rewarded for his killing by moving up in the court, it’s no wonder he is as sadistic as he is now. It almost amused him how corrupt everything was. Eventually he was stuck waiting for the next king to die or fork the crown over.
There were only two people in his way. Irial, who had been the current Unseelie King and the man already chosen afterwards if anything were to happen to the current King. Obviously, Kane sucked up to the second in line, wanting to be the third in line if anything were to happen to both of him. Luckily his charms worked and he was at the point of plotting ways to kill Irial when something miraculous happened. The idiot ruined himself. He built himself up to break his own heart, and left the court altogether. It almost made Kane fall over laughing when he found out. So, in result, the second in line got Irial’s place and for a few years Kane allowed him to ‘play King’ until he was ready to take over himself. When that point came along all it took was poisoning his food with iron, and the great King was no more. Kane, shocked like everyone else, took the throne and has had it for over one hundred years.
