While the days belonged to the Seelie Court, when the sun beat down on all of them. The world was always quick to remind Silis that even in summer, she didn't rule everything, as she sat in her study, watching the sun fade away and down to warm another place. Darkness filled the space the sun had left empty. Some minor power she gained when it was around, slipped out of her fingers, and fell into that of Kane's she knew somewhere inside of her gut. Kane who wasn't as much of a king as his processor, he didn't dislike the heat like Irial had, who Silis knew was hibernating and making no problems for her, unlike Kane.
Silis sighed, as the darkness swallowed everything, while she walked out of the realm, and joined the other's of her court in the Reveals. She smiled, the light was kept alive by touches and lanterns, light and warmth filled the grounds, as her court tried to keep what they loved alive even when the sun was gone. It was funny to her that even though her court was one of passion, emotion, and summer, she should feel nearly none of those. It was a haunting thought for her, but one she tried not to linger on as she passed by the fun with a smile on her face as she greeted many, until hours had passed and she bored of the music being played by a kelpie and some others.
She walked towards the edge of the grounds, and the party until she was at the end of it. Until she couldn't see it anymore. Once she was free from the party and the heat of it, it was as if she couldn't stop, couldn't control her feet as they carried her farther and father away from the party. Until she was running threw a cloud of darkness, dashing across the grass and land under her, as if it were sky and she was a shooting star. The white gown she was wearing, nearly glowed around her as stars shine reflected off it, and painted her skin darker than it was and her hair lighter than it was. After what seemed miles of running, Silis found the house she'd known was there, her place to run away in the night no one was there she could tell. She opened the door, and fell down on the floor of the front room where she dared not to move. Until she gathered her strength, she laid there with her eyes closed letting the movement of the world rock her to sleep, as she laid there.
Silis had always sworn she loved summer, and she loved the warmth. She adored watching things grow around her, she loved the smiles Sweet tooths had during this time, but she couldn't stand it sometimes. When others had lovers and she had none other than a consort who wouldn't touch her. She couldn't stand summer sometimes because it reminded her of what she'd lost when she took over the crown, the death of her mother by Twill, and a lover who was from the Unseelie court.

Leo was laying under the stars avoiding what he was supposed to be doing. He was truly supposed to be next to the queen at the party, but he did not care for the parties because they tended to be boring and too busy. He laid in the grass thinking about Calla now again. Oh how he loved her so much, but a pain resided in him because of Kane. He wondered how she could ever love someone so brutal and inconsiderate as that king. It was the Unseelie court but still, Leo saw a different side to Calla, a sweet sided one. This side made him want to capture her and make her his without her permission, without Kane’s consent, without hell from Silis. A smile built on his face at this thought, but faded quickly as he realized once again that he never could.
He closed his eyes in an attempt to clear the thoughts from his head, feeling the light of the moon fill every detail of his body as he just quietly relaxed. Since be captured under Silis’ reign all these years, he learned to enjoy the simple things in his life, especially the outdoors. A hum could be heard as he listened to all the surroundings around him, a music to his ears. He drifted off to sleep for only a moment though until he heard someone move to the house he was laying a few yards away from. He groaned softly as he turned nonchalantly slipping to the height above the tall grass, his eyes falling on Silis. He watched her for a long moment and something within him felt love for her and urged himself towards her.
He always did this to himself where he was attracted to her and even loved her, but she would scare him off within the moment. Something in him was eager to try though and he moved forward until he stood in the door way, gazing down at the beautiful Seelie Queen. “Hello beautiful.” He whispered in a gentle tone before coming and laying next to her. He did not know what was urging him to do this. “Sorry, thought you could use some company. It gets lonely, even in a room full of people.” He muttered as he glanced back at the party, knowing she slipped away to get away from them all.
A long silence passed and he slowly sat up and looked down at her. “Silis..” He hesitated and was going to wait for her response as he gazed down at her. Slowly, he just lowered himself and kissed her for a long moment, his kiss like that of a heart beat. He had never done this before, never even really kissed her. There had been moments where he knew she wanted to be with him, to find some comfort in this loneliness.

She was the Queen of the Bright court. The court, of sun, and light, heat and warmth, joy and passion. She was the embodiment of days spent laying out in the sand by a warm beach, of tree and flowers in full bloom, she was everything that was supposed to be summer. From her toes to her hair, she looked like the all american girl dream. Her hair was curly, and bleached naturally by the sun. Her skin, was painted golden, a shade you just couldn't fake, as if she'd spent hours laying in the glow of the sun, until it painted her golden, and beautiful, until it filled her every pour, and filled her up with light till she could open her mouth, and only more liquid gold would seem to fill the room. The sun warmed her even when it was out of sight.
As she laid on the floor of the old house it seemed like all she wanted was to be away from the sun. Was to allow it to skin into her stomach, where it could sit while she laid on the cold wooden panels of floor. They hadn't been touched by the sun, and the coolness from them cooled her skin, that felt to hot, it calmed her down, as she clung to it. Her nails digging into the wood, and driving it under her nail-beds, the pain was soothing as it was something she wasn't used to, something that wasn't so dull and boring as summer seemed to be growing to her. She didn't move, and she thought about laying there forever, until summer had passed and the winds of winter would come and freeze her over, she could be ice all over, like she felt her heart was. As she was thinking these words, her ears picked up the sound of someone speaking to her, she knew who it was without looking, Leo.
Suddenly she felt silly falling apart like she had, she was starting to pull herself up when Leo came down next to her, "Leo," she said his name with a smile on her lips she was glad for his company. Her eyes followed him as he moved, sometimes she wished she could escape into Leo, and away from the courts, but Leo would never see her as anything but the queen of his court, as a frown started to show on her lips, Leo's met hers in a movement that was light and sweet it reminded her of the breeze. Her eyes closed and she disappeared inside of the moment. Until it was over and she was looking at Leo, with a puzzled expression on her face. "Ah," she started but she couldn't think of words to say.
In this moment with Leo, she wasn't the Queen of anything, she wasn't someone grieving, she wasn't anything but a girl. Someone who'd lived a long time, wishing for someone who'd never moved towards her. She blushed, she hadn't been expecting that, slowly Silis pulled herself up. She looked down and tucked her hair behind her ear, and kept her hand there to play with her hair, her eyes flashing quickly from him to the floor and than back to him. What was she to say to her consort? "I ah, wasn't expecting that," she admitted as her heart pounded in her chest. "Guess you didn't like the party either," she said shrugging her shoulders, and playing with her hair some more, and looking away with a blush she didn't know how to respond, this wasn't normal for her.

Leo gazed down at her a smile on his face at her words and he laughed softly, something charming about his every little detail. He still was leaning over her a little bit and he smiled at her cute reaction. “Well, I suppose I haven’t ever done that before. And yeah, I really don’t like parties much.” He whispered and he then kissed her again, longer and deeper than before, the first kiss just urging him to continue on. His hand came up to thread into her hair as he got lost in the moment as he realized she was too and something made the love grow in him. He deepened the kiss even more before sitting up and pulling Silis into his lap, his hands wrapping around her pulling her tightly to him. Slowly he broke the kiss, looking into her eyes for a long moment, a small smile on his lips.
“I wonder why I’ve never done that before.” He softly whispered before coming to press his lips to her neck gently. Something in him wanted this and loved her, but the other part of him was subconsciously working and might eventually make him regret his actions. Something about Silis always turned him away which was a reason he fell so easily in love with Calla. He could not even think about that Unseelie consort he loved at this time. Something about Silis made him fall away from his surroundings and every moment he ever had. The kissing made him feel as though he had never lived until this moment. He was gentle and slow with each kiss, expressing himself through every action because that was just it, it was how he was, very gentle and caring.
His hands grazed her sides, exploring her curves. He pause now and once again caught her eyes with his. “I really hope I don’t make you feel uncomfortable, mylady.” He whispered kindly to her and just was waiting for her silent approval. Love was expressed in his eyes, something he had rarely allowed her to see. If she was not careful she would push him away, but that was their relationship. She wanted him and he rarely returned that want and was often pushed astray by certain traits. Not to say he was not attracted to her at all because he obviously is, to a certain extent and in different situations.
The sounds began to fill his ears again that it was not just them, the bugs were witness to everything and a party was being held next door. The moonlight seemed to poke through some cracks in the walls, casting over them. His eyes gazed over how the light seemed to make her that much more beautiful, so much more attractive, so much more lovely. “You’re stunning, Silis. I hope you know that.”

In a moment all of the cool that had settled on top of her skin, had disappeared as a blushed burned the top of her cheeks, when her eyes met that of Leo's face. He'd kissed her, she was in shock, and seemed to be gulping for air in the next few minutes. Waiting for him to respond, she was worried and conflicted inside of herself. Wondering as he started to talk if they would go back to acting like nothing had ever happened between them. As quick as her thought had come, they vanished as his lips touched hers again. This time for longer and the kiss was even better than she'd thought it could ever be. He pulled her into his lap, and she sat there contently one arm coming around his neck to hold him close while he blush lessened but was still there.
She laughed at him lightly, just for a few seconds, as her blush reappeared, "I've been wondering that for a long time," she admitted looking at him. Her blush had flared up as he kissed her neck. She felt something rush threw her starting where his lips touched her skin, and going all the way down to her toes. She was torn again, between enjoying the attention from her consort that she'd always wished for, and dying in this bliss, or asking him what had brought this is which could possibly end it. As much as the question nagged her so she could possibly repeat this sometime, she didn't ask it.
She watched him touching her, following his hands with her eyes, while her own hands played with her hair until he called her mylady. She whispered the next words, "You could never make me uncomfortable Leo," she looked him in the eyes. She shook her head just a tad at than, "You know you don't have to call me that Leo," she must have told him this a hundred times. She hated when he called her anything other than, "Silis is fine," she looked in his eyes, they were so pretty, she never got to see him like this. Unprotected, she was so nervous about this, she didn't want to mess anything up with him.
"Leo,' she said his name and looked at him, before leaning her head down on his shoulder. She kissed his neck, back, with a smile on her face, she bit her lip, what had she done to make him do this? "Why are you so open tonight?" she asked him cautiously. She put her arms around his neck, hoping he wouldn't pull away after she'd asked, she wanted to keep him close but she knew if he wanted to he could pull away. "Normally you don't um," she paused trying to think of the word, "touch me?' she said it uneasily, was that the right word? She didn't know.

Leo’s fingers ran up into her hair as he slowly stopped at her comments and questions. A smile came to his face again at the fact he could never make her uncomfortable, “Not true, but at least you aren’t now.” And a laugh came from his throat at her next words and he smirked at her. “You will always be my Queen, it’s only order my dear.” He told her with a smirk and then kissed her again and she caught something with her even before her next words, she was nervous. “Relax. I don’t want to mak…” He stopped when her words actually hit him. He had not even felt those kisses but the words just were too distracting and it made him want to leave.
“I don’t know, Silis. I honestly don’t.” He dropped his hands from her and gazed at her for a long moment. He just stared at her for the longest moment wondering how every time he tried something or was going to do this, she would remind him of the reason he did not want to. He would not leave because that would be rude and he would probably hurt her in doing so. He just sat there and then gazed at the moonlight for a long moment. Leo no longer wanted to be with her, but part of him did. Part of him wanted to take her to be his, but his insides were very compelling towards each other.
He knew he made things slightly awkward as though she had done something wrong. “You know, this is not your fault and I don’t intend it to seem that way.” He whispered before looking into her eyes and now the part of him that wanted her grew again because he wanted to make her feel better and like she was loved. He did indeed love her and so he kissed her now again, deeply before slowly laying her down on her back while maintaining the kiss. Although he did not want to break the kiss, he did so and needed permission to do something like this. “Silis, I don’t want to hurt you or well do anything like this without you wanting the same. I do love you, Silis.” He whispered softly and brought a hand up to brush her cheek softly while he hovered over her.
“Tell me now if you don’t want me to continue and I won’t.” He whispered, wanting to make sure she was ready for him like this. He had made a big jump and he did not expect her to completely agree with what he was doing, but he did not know what she wanted with him completely, he did not know if she wanted this. His eyes were full of care for her as he just watched her. For the first time, she had captivated him. She had become one of the most beautiful things he had set his eyes on and he could not explain why he felt this way now, he just did.
Notes: Nah...it was good. I hope Leo's response was okay.

She'd been practically glowing with happiness when Leo had first kissed her, and than kissed her again, and again. It was everything Silis had ever dreamed it would be like when he kissed her, it wasn't rough, or hard, it felt right and released butterflies in her stomach. It made her not feel like she'd always felt, being a Princess or a Queen. The experience wasn't different because of that, she was just Silisah, she was just a female, having her first kiss and enjoying it. Until Leo said those words, and her heart fell into her stomach. She compared being the Queen, to the saying, "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride," she was Always the Queen, never just Silis. She didn't say anything back to Leo, only held her head on his shoulder, and closed her eyes. He didn't have to say anything, she'd done it she knew. She'd ruined this moment, she'd brought up that she was the Queen, he was realizing, and soon this would be over for her again. She'd go back to wishing he would let go of her title and kiss her, and freezing back up around him.
His words crashed around her. Even if they were soft, it was like the sound of an alarm clock. Waking her up, with a lull smooth tone, he was waking her up with his words, making her realize how much of this she'd only dreamed about. Her insides felt cold, like ice injected in her viens, Leo was to nice to walk away or to push her away when she was curled in his arms, but it was hurting to be here. It was like if she touched Irial, everything just sizzled and steam rose around them, both of them were hurt, though in this case she thought she was taking most of the blade. "I'm sorry Leo," she started to say started to form the words, but was silenced by a kiss. She went along with Leo, bending back, she would have bended anyway he wanted her. Just to be closer to him.
He said he loved her, and she just looked at him. She still had a ghost of a smile on her lips. Like she was trying to, but she was just hoping he didn't look into her eyes to long, and see the tears starting to come there. He loved her, but he wasn't going to be with her, he didn't have to say it. She looked at him, and debated in her stomach the butterflies, and the feeling this wasn't what he wanted. "I love you too Leo," she loved him enough to make him her consort, to make him close to her, to allow him to be the only person she trusted in her court. She blushed again, trying to think of words to say, she bit back the emotions in her and thoughts that told her to get up and leave. She would endure the pain of this choice later, but right now, "I want to be with you," was what she wanted. She wanted to drown in Leo, in his kisses and touch, she wanted to hold everything she wanted even if for just a moment.
"I just hope you won't regret this," she spoke softly, the words flew out of her mouth, before her heart could stop them. Her mind working on it's own.

Leo stared down at her for the longest moment, hearing those sweet words come from her lips. And then, his mind glitched back into reality thinking about calla and he began to wonder if he could be in love with both. Now calla and him would be no different from the other. There would be no excuse and they would both have two lovers they could not choose between. A bit of fear filled him as he slowly lowered his lips to touch her neck. He did not want to scare Silis and for now that was all he could do. He would continue with his intended show of his love for his Queen and would express his love for her the best he could in the future.
He raised his head a little and kissed her deeply, his hands lowering to the edge of her white dress and grabbed the soft fabric with his fingertips. His hands gently came to rest on her thighs, slowly sliding up the dress. Part of him was worried he would make her uncomfortable or even nervous about being with him like this. “Tell me if you want to stop, okay?” He was making sure that she would not regret this. His hands continued to rise, now tracing over her stomach and ribs, feeling every small curve to her body.
Leo finally removed her dress, tossing it aside and just pressed himself against her for a moment, just kissing her passionately. He tasted her sweet lips and felt her breathing against him. He never felt so close to someone like this before, not even with Calla. It had been more rough with her, more rushed. With Silis, this was completely different and part of him much more enjoyed something like this. His hands rested on her hips, two fingers slipping under the band of her underwear and tugging down as he trailed the kisses down and between her breasts, gently sucking there before continuing.
His heart beat hard against his chest as the surroundings began to disappear once again. All there was was Silis and this moment with her. He could not escape anything and it captivated him. He pulled her underwear off slowly coming back up and sat down, pulling her into his lap. Slowly he reached around her and unclipped her bra, allowing it to fall. He gazed at the beautiful creature before her and could not help but to kiss her again. Leo would allow her to remove his clothing though as one last opportunity for her to ask him to stop all of this.

Maybe it was because she was female, and females tended to think in terms like that. Or maybe because she'd lead such a dull/dark life before that she didn't wish to remember. But inside of Sililsah's mind, it seemed to her, that for as long as she could remember she'd been trying to tell her consort, she wasn't just the Queen like everyone wanted to treat her like. She wasn't just the once kidnapped and much abused princess, she wasn't just a crown, she was a girl too. She'd spent so much time telling Leo that she was a girl too, a girl who was in love with hmi, that somewhere along the years she'd nearly given up and forgotten why that point was so important for her to make to him, and for him to know.
That was until he wasn't treating her like a Queen, but like a lover. She smiled and nodded her head looking at him with big eyes as he touched her bare skin, and lifted her dress. That was why, because she wanted him to be like this with her. She wanted him to love her remembered, and she wondered if sleeping with him, and giving him her all, would finally show him how much she loved her consort. He was the only friend she had, and the only one that she trusted in all of the courts, she cared for him very much, because she loved him, and now she thought with a smile he loved her too. She spoke in a whisper, "It's ok Leo," she told him with a smile. Biting her lip before kissing him and calming him down. She was naked in front of him, something she'd never been in front of a man, and she felt free. Her long hair tickled the small of her back and covered part of her where it poured over her chest.
Her heart was pounding so loud she was nearly sure he could hear it. She'd never felt so happy though, or warm. She was warm from the joy that came around her, as she looked at him. As she pressed her lips against his. She'd dreamed about being with Leo many times before, but it'd always been a dream now she was living it. It was much warmer than she'd thought, it was a soothing warm, a nice warm, an evening warm not hot, but not cold just right. She sat in his lap with a small smile on her face, she was still a little nervous, about him seeing her like this, but she began to work on his shirt. Her lips kissing his as she slid her hands down his chest, until they found the area where his shirt came up. She was under his shirt touching his bare skin then, pressing her fingers along him to feel his skin, while sliding the shirt off of him slowly. She did everything slowly with Leo, not wanting to do something wrong.
She looked at his pants, and took in a big breath under her breath so he wouldn't notice she hoped. She started to work on the buttons of his pants, looking at them, whispering as she did them, I love you Leo, she told him. The truth that she always had loved him didn't escape her as quickly his pants where off of him and laying next to her discarded dress. She'd left the last peice to him, looking at him, she'd understand if he backed out now, though she prayed he didn't she'd never felt like this before, so alive and so happy as she did when she looked at Leo.

Leo felt her long hair brush over his knuckles as his hands rested on the small of his back. The kissing soothed his worries a bit as he kissed her back deeply and when she began removing his clothing, he noticed how worried and nervous she was. “Listen, you don’t have to be worried with me, love. I won’t leave.” He whispered into her ear and love the soft feeling of her hands on his chest. He meant every word that he spoke to her this night. He wanted to only be closer to her while she continued to remove his articles of clothing, although there weren’t too many. Three to be exact…just his shirt, jeans, and boxers. And by the time he knew it, she’d left his boxers on and he slowly laid her down on the ground again, pulling down his boxers and kicking them off.
He was not worried about leaving and he knew she was because he never even really allowed her to keep kissing him or get any farther than that. He knew he had done that to her all these years, but he did feel bad for each time he had done it, to this day. His heart now ached for her in a way that it never had before, in a way he had never allowed it to before. Especially when she said she loved him and a smile came on his lips. “I love you too, Silis.” He whispered in return as he lowered his lips to kiss her deeply for a long few moments. His hands went down her body feeling every curve before he slipped into her, groaning softly into the kiss.
Leo started out moving back and forth slowly. There was a difference in the way he loved Calla and the way he loved Silis. This even showed now, once again where everything was so complicated and rough with Calla, but with Silis it was nice and smooth. Silis had become amazing in his eyes and he pulled back and gazed at her. A smile was on his lips and he came down to kiss her neck and he thought about sleeping with Calla and knew he could not keep it a secret from Silis forever. And then he knew, he needed to let her know, but he could not now. His stomach wrenched though and he felt sick. “Silis, I can’t do this, not right now.” He whispered before stopping and slipping out of her.
He rolled off of her and sat there for a long moment, just staring at the ground. “I’m sorry.” He whispered, feeling horrible in two senses. One was that he started this with Silis and cut it off when he knew that’s what she is worried about. Two because he could not do something like this without her knowing the truth. His eyes filled with tears a bit and he looked at her. “I mean that, I…want to, but I cannot and I’m afraid I’ll lose you if I tell you why.” He spoke in a gentle, yet upset tone and was being completely honest with her. He needed her here, especially with this. He needed Silis to return his love, to support him through all of this, even though she should not because of this moment and what he’s done with Calla. He had hope though that she would forgive him.

The mortal history, there used to be this Queen. She was the Queen of England she had been loved by her people, but she had a name given to herself and since she was long gone in mortal years in the mortal world, Silis felt sometimes she had taken her name from her. The Virgin Queen. A queen who never married, or was never with any man, and who ruled her country nearly flawlessly. Silis wasn't sure about those other things, but she was still a virgin, tonight though, it was looking like Leo might finally change that for her. He promised he wouldn't leave her, not tonight, and she felt something in her stomach. She was excited, and the nervous butterflys just sort of flew out of her, she knew she was ready, and she wanted to. She loved Leo, and she wanted to show him.
The next thing she knew, she felt like she never had before in all of her life. She gasped, her chest rising quickly, as he entered her. It was a sensastion she'd never felt before, Leo had never allowed her to before. There was a tingling sensation all over her, and she felt partly like she was about to drown inside of Leo, like every one of her senses and her mind were flooded with thoughts of him, parts of him filled her up quickly, the flood waters rose and washed over her skin. She kissed him, loving it though, she couldn't get the smile off of her face, she loved Leo, and he'd told her that he loved her as well, what could be better in this moment? Nothing, this was what she'd always wanted and now she had it, it was a pure sort of bliss, the kind that reminded her she was of summer, with the heat from his body, the endugleance in pleasure, and the joy that it brought, somewhere she understood her court better because of this.
This evening had gone like she'd never dreamed it would. She never would have thought Leo would have found her, found have comforted her like this when she ran away from everything, yet her he was, and the sounds of the party weren't even noticed by her, only the sounds coming out of his mouth, he'd been telling her everything she ever wanted to hear from him, then her dream come true turned into something from one of her night mares. Suddenly everything was over, Leo was next to her, as soon as she opened her eyes, she'd closed them after hearing his words. Everything she'd thought was so perfect, was now teasing her, and somewhere in her heart she felt it breaking. She tried not to show Leo what he'd done to her, she listened with a closed jaw, and eyes unlooking away from him. She opened her lips as she sat up, she didn't look at him, there were tears in her eyes, and a pain in her cheast she knew all to well. It was a common pain she got when Leo would let her close and then pull away, she thought she would be used to it by now, but everytime it crushed her heart, and this time was even more painfull as she'd just given herself to him in a way she could to no one else. She looked at the door of the room, she thought about running away from his words, but she'd come here to run, and she knew she had no where to run. "It's fine Leo," she said in a moment her voice even and calm, she'd had lots of pratice consealling her hurt she was a pro at it by now.
She turned to look at Leo, "Lets just pretend this never happened okay?" she said there were tears in her eyes, but a smile on her face. They would forget this ever happened between them, and everything would go back to how it was before. Only she didn't know if she could trust Leo this close anymore, he'd delivered a finishing blow to her ego. She wanted to cry, to curl up in a ball and just cry and cry until her eyes refused to shed any more tears, she wanted to do anything in the world to make the pain in her chest stop growing, but it wouldn't listen to her. She stood up, and didn't bother too look at her dress, she thought about the party outside, she wanted to go and walk out into it and drown herself inside of some summer wine, until it poured off of her skin, and she could bleed it from her eyes. "I understand Leo, you don't have to pretend anymore,' she said her heart hurt, as she looked out a window, she cared not that she was naked, she touched the cold window, feeling it warm at her touch a bit of steam rose into the air around her, but she didn't even notice that her summer was showing threw her. Storm clouds crashed in her eyes, there was an atmospher around her like a summer storm was coming. "Leo," she said his name once more, this time she was more calm then she really should have been.
She turned back to look at him, but when her eyes met his and his body and couldn't muster the words to come out of her mouth, so instead she just looked at his clothes. "I think it would be best if you were no longer my consort,' she said. It was unheard of someone choosing to let there consort go, a consort was supposed to be the bridge between the courts, and to look after the head of the court, they pledged themselves to the head of the court, and choose their fate. Silis turned around to look back at Leo, she sat down then, her back to the wall, but she was bending down and holding her knees, "Wouldn't it be better neh? I mean then you could love who you wanted and not be trapped by me right?' she said tears had fallen down her face, and her eyes had turned into two clear blue pools like the ocean after a storm there were still some waves crashing, but she'd calmed down, burried her hurt until she could deal with it when she was alone.

Leo had been lost in his own thoughs and he felt like for the first time he could be completely honest with someone. He admitted to himself he had finally loved Silis and always had. This thought gave him courage to be with her., to love her as long as he was her consort. His heart leaped for a moment before he saw her stand up and say the things she did. He gaped at Silis and his eyes went wide. He was quietly panicking as she told him to not be her consort. It had been unheard of in all the history of the faerie kingdom. He also experienced a familiar feeling in his gut. Heartbreak...something he felt with Calla a few weeks prior.
"Silis...I need to tell you something and it is not that I do not love you because I do. But I need to tell you the reason I have been distant all these years. Don't ban me as your consort..." he spoke, hot tears on his cheeks, getting up and walking to her but falling to his knees. "I had loved Calla and been with her, but I...she found someone this past month and I have not felt right for weeks. Please don't...I've found someone I love. Someone I would be with for the rest of my life. I couldn't do this without telling you. I know, I've hurt you and I don't deserve to be before you like this, but I need you, Silis." He quieted now and finally looked up at her seeing all the pain in her eyes. Slowly, he rose and was at eye level with her.
"I do love you. And I hate myself right now. But don't let me go." He whispered softly and slowly, but gently kissed her. He was going to give her the choice now of choosing him so that he might be bound to her forever. He pulled back from the kiss, conjuring a small object. He paused and gazed at her. "I have waited my life to give this to someone. Its my mother's engagement ring." He opened his closed fist and brought it to her attention. He knew he had hurt her badly and this might be the last chance for him to prove himself and he wasn't going to waist it. He lower himself to one knee and spoke the words strongly, "Miss Silis Genevieve Arabella, will you marry me? So I may forever love you, exist by your side, and serve you every day that is granted unto us."
Leo was looking up to Silis with an honest, yet strong heart that was expressed through his eyes. "My heart has found its place, with yours, waiting to be forever linked to yours. And I will fight for you...for us." He said, softly grasping her hand and pressing his lips to her soft skin. His heart wanted to follow hers and now he knew this and he hoped he was not too late. For once, he was sure of something he wanted. His eyes found hers once more and he knew this was a lot to take in, but he had faith in her. He would fight for this or leave the kingdom. If she wished, he would never return to her, but he would once again be broken.

In the mortal world they told their daughters and children stories about love, about happily ever after and things that happened like that. When Silis had been growing up there, if you could call living in a steel cage her father had locked her in to keep her from her mother, growing up, she'd heard all of the stories. She'd listened to them, and though she would deny it if ever asked, somewhere they'd dug into her heart, and made themselves a home there, where she thought about love, and how wonderful being in love would be, how much she wanted to be in love. When she'd fallen in love with Leo, he'd pushed all of those things she thought she knew about love, and proven to her she knew nothing, and that while love was a great healer, it's rejection was a great destoryer, and it hurt more than anything she could ever think of inflicting on another person. It hurt all the time, everytime you saw that person, and as she tried her hardest to hide it from Leo he was her consort and she believed that somewhere he knew he was killing her, so why did he do this to her? Over and over she asked that of herself, and why did she loose her head when Leo came around? She didn't know, but she knew after this night things weren't going to stay the same between them, something was going to change for better or for worse, she just couldn't stand her broken heart anymore.
After everything that Silis had gone threw with loving Leo, she didn't think she wanted to hear the words he was going to say to her, when she saw his mouth opened. She figured it would be his acceptance of him leaving his position by her side he would walk away, and he would be happy, and she would be miserable for a while at least. She looked at him as he spoke, she didn't want to ban him as her consort, she didn't want to be away from Leo, but how could he ask her too put up with this anylonger, the more confused and conflicted she got a light wind picked up and flowed threw the house, it smelled like sunrise clean and crisp, and fresh moed grass that tickled your nose. Loved someone else, a stab in her heart, he'd already made and now he was twisting the blade, she couldn't look at him, something inside of her revulted when she thought about Calla, that girl that belonged to Kane his consort, her consort had been with his, they'd both been cheated in their lovers, somewhere in her she thought that was fair for him, but she wished she'd known what she'd done, she didn't say anything, just felt her throat dry up, and her lips wouldn't move they were chapped now, as her skin grew hot from anger, and shame and hurt.
His lips were on her's and while part of her wished to scream the other parts of her wanted to grab him and cry, and sob and ask him over and over why she hadn't been enough for him. Why he'd gone to Calla of all people, why he'd turned her away for all these years. At some point she'd started to cry, she didn't know when, but the tears fell from her eyes, and outside a thunder storm had started to come, everyone of the court at the party seemed to not notice the obvious sign that their Queen was so unsettled by all of this, her lower lip trembled when he said her full name. The sign that she'd trusted him more than anyone else in the entire world, she'd given him her name, her true name, all of it, a name that he could control her with yet he didn;t. "Leo," she said looking down at her consort. "You had an affair, with the Unseelie court," she said looking at him, she was confused, and as much as she wanted to just say yes, she couldn't let that go. "You knew I loved you and instead you went to Calla of all people," she said shaking her head from side to side and grabbing her own hand from his.
"You are supposed to be my consort, my lover, and the one by my side, and you were sleeping with her," she said. She looked at him, hurt still in her eyes, it shined like her skin would in the sun, bright. "Tell me if something had happened a conflict, who would you have sided with?" she asked him wrapping her arms around herself. The winds picked up a little bit more, and the smell of the room changed to something salty waves crashing on each other, while thunder boomed outside and shook the house. "I want to say yes Leo, I want to, but you just can't do all of that!...and expect things to be ok," she told him. She wasn't banning him from her, wasn't making him not be her consort, but she hadn't told him yes or no yet, she was still thinking, still in turmoil. "Calla left you, and now you come to me, how am I not to feel like some second choice," she asked him, before looking back outside, she looked at him. She wished more than anything this night had never happened this pain had never entered her pours, that she could escape and run home to her room, and Leo would be there and she could cry on his shoulder like she always did when something went wrong, only he was what was going wrong right now.

Leo knew he had hurt her deeply and he felt every moment of the pain because he could hear it, see it in her. No matter how hard she attempted to hide it from him and his chest heaved and when she pulled her hand away from him, he saw the tears and it cut him. He knew that telling her this made this all ten times worse and he almost regretted doing this, but she needed to know. If she had found out any other way, he would have been banned instantly. He let her lecture him because it was all true, down to the last syllable. “I can’t deny any of it except for you feeling like a second choice because you shouldn’t. Don’t assume you are. There’s probably nothing left that will convince you of that other than the fact that I’m here now, asking for you to be with me for the rest of my life. You don’t realize that I also backed away from Calla. I could leave right now and go find her, but I’m not. I found you, I sought you out. As for siding with someone, it would have been you simply for the fact that you are my Queen.” His words came out clear and he gazed up at her.
He realized something that she had not said no to him and it was still processing. Maybe she would say yes and he would wait patiently for that answer. “Silis, I’m here now because I’ve realized the mistakes I’ve made. And if I really did not love you, I would have let you find out about Calla and I through someone else, not from me personally.” He spoke out the words with a valid point to them, no dishonest side behind them. He could not, would not lie to her. Even if he did not end up where he wanted to be by the end of the night, he would feel as though a weight was lifted from him. One that he never knew really existed until tonight. Everything was so different for him now. He was the one person she needed now and he hoped she would not relinquish him of being that for her. He stayed there on his knees in front of her, hoping for her to return his feelings, to love him. He knew that this would be rough for the both of them for a while now. He would stay here though until they worked this out, whether one way or another and he would be what she needed.
He then remember her talking about him just expecting things to go back to normal. “I don’t expect things to go back to normal, Silis. I don’t expect them to be okay, but I needed to be honest with you. And I made a huge mistake by not doing that, but I realized them like I said and I’m choosing to tell you now rather than never.” He then stopped and just rose to his feet and looked at her, wanting to take her in his arms, but he knew she needed to decide for herself if she wanted that. He knew she was confused about what to do right now and the situation was very complicated for her. But for some reason he only saw one option that was clean cut. He only saw that and if that dream was crushed, he would die inside and she would have her revenge. She would hate him and he would still love her, wishing to be with her. He would die externally and nothing else would matter.
“Silis…do what you would like. I will abide. I don’t expect you to get over this, to be happy with me, to accept me back. But they are all options and I will do whatever you wish.” He whispered his voice cracking as he felt tears roll down his cheeks slowly in fear that he’d lose her, from all the hurt that he knew he had caused her.

To be with him for the rest of his life, to be with Leo for the rest of a very long time, because they didn't die easily. She thought about it, and her stomach came into knots. Her heart wanted to yell yes, that she would be with Leo for the rest of his life, that she would take him back and never look back, at what he'd done. She didn't look at him, until he said, he could leave right now, that made her heart flinch she looked at him, he'd said he wouldn't leave her, and she wanted to grab his hand right then, and make him stay with her. He spoke so clearly, like he believed everything he said with all of him, she bit her lower lip. The storm outside, started to pour as the thunder stopped and moved along, the sky. It was one of those warm rains, it fogged up all the windows, and made everything a little bit more warm, she wanted to smile, she loved warm rain, but she didn't do anything other than stare Leo. Leo stood up and it was like there wasn't enough air in the room. Everything she had he'd taken from her heart, to her virginity, she loved him so much. Even with the pain in her chest, she knew she was still in love with him, and he was loving her. So why was she stepping back, why wasn't she saying yes, when she knew she wanted to. Everything he'd said tonight sunk into her, the I loves yous, that she'd waited so long to hear, his confession that she hadn't expected, and finally this, his apology that she knew was just enough to sway her back to him. Somewhere inside of her, was someone bitter who wanted to hurt Leo like all the times he'd hurt her, but that person didn't flurish because she was still in love with Leo, and when you loved somone you would never want them hurt, and only want them by your side. Like Leo had been for her. When he cried, so did she. Her own tears spilled down her face, they were a slight golden color, and they shown and sparkled like drops of the sun as they fell down her face. She wanted to wipe them away, but they were coming to fast racing down her cheeks, and collecting at her chin until they fell to the ground where they stopped shinning. She looked at Leo, all she wanted was too curl up in his arms right now, but, "I'm scared," she admitted looking at Leo. "What if this is a mistake and you want someone else again?" she asked feeling unsure of herself, she was scared she wasn't enough for her love, and then it seemed like it was clear to her. "I love you Leo, I love you so damn much," she gave a little bit of a laugh with that while she wiped away her tears, and smiled, she looked at him. The pain she saw in his eyes, from his seeing her cry, when he told her everything, that he'd told her everything, she knew what she had to do as a Queen and as a lover, and as someone so madly in love sometimes she thought she'd drown in it. "I want to be with you forever, because the thought of you with somone else, kills me," she said thinking about Calla, it made her want to scream, and cry and throw things like she'd never felt before. She wanted to have Leo all to herself, because she loved him, and there was no way she could let him go. She grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers, "Would you have me?" she asked, looking at him, she was trying to smile, but a few tears were still coming out of her too blue eyes.
