Rosalie paced her home; she really wanted to see her brother. It had been months since she last seen or heard from him. She knew he was alright cause if anything had of happened to him they academy would have sent her a letter informing her that something had happened to him. She usually sees him ever four weeks but it has been ten weeks now since she seen him. She had to talk to him; she just had to see him even if it was just for a little bit. Rose stopped pacing and looked down at what she had on. She wore a long blue and purple patterned skirt and a blue and purple blended tank top and a plain black cardigan. She shrugged; it was going to have to be good enough, because she was going to go see him, if he wasn’t going to come to her. She grabbed her bag and headed for the door. She slipped her head into her black flat ballet shoes and stepped out her front door locking it and slamming it shut behind her. She needed to go now before she changed her mind.
She had been to the academy a few times but that was just too look at it from the outside of the gate. Never before had she entered the grounds. But today she didn’t care she was going to let herself in and find her brother and punch him in the arm for not coming to see her when he was suppose to. The academy wasn’t far from her home and she knew the way quiet well. It was just the approaching darkness that worried her, she wasn’t afraid of the dark and she wasn’t afraid of the creatures that prowled in the shadows, it was just she wasn’t dress right to be walking around at night. How was she going to fight off anything in this skirt or in these shoes? She still had a fair while before it got dark she would just have to make it back home before the sun sets. She trudged down the road and headed for the coast. It’s where the academy entrance gate stood. She would have to get there if she wanted to get inside the grounds of the academy. Was she even allowed to be on the grounds?
Soon the she was walking along the coast the ocean not far away, she could smell the water. She knew she was getting close. After a few more minutes she reached the gates, she looked around and saw no one. No one there to open the gates to let her in and even when she peered through the bars she couldn’t even see anyone on the grounds. Was there even anybody there? She then looked to the strong metal bars that made up the gate and saw that the distance between each on was big enough for her to squeeze through. Once the idea was in her head there was no going back. First she tossed her bag through the bars and it landed on the ground with a thump. Next she gathered up her skirt and threaded her left leg through the bars and then she squeezed her head and body through, bring her right leg in last. She let go of her skirt and it flowed back down to her feet, taking its full length. She then picked up her bag and threw it over her shoulder and she slowly made her way up the grounds.

OUTFIT
Hatter strolled down along through the academy. He should be soaking in a hot bath right now to sooth his sore muscles, but he figured a little muscle pain was really nothing to him anymore. He was pretty much use to waking up and almost not being able to move, of course, they had some medicine for such things that would numb the pain and make him feel better. Of course, he found just working out the kinks usually helped with the soreness in his muscles.
Though, relaxing and just strolling around like he was doing right now, didn't hurt either. Hatter made his way through the corridors of the academy before reaching the entrance doors. He pushed them open, taking in a small breath of the cool night air around him. With the sun setting, he knew it would be getting colder, especially with it being winter time. But, none of that really phased him. Lucky enough, it wasn't that cold out. Or at least, to him it didn't feel that way. He could hear his mother now, telling him he ought to be wearing a jacket at least while outside. Oh well. Maybe one day he'll get so sick from running around out in the cold, that he'll learn his lesson. Hatter really didn't see that happening anytime soon, though.
Glancing up towards the still light sky, Hatter reached up to brush a few strains of hair away from his face. Most of it stuck out crazily from under the hat he was wearing. It was one of the many that he owned and one that he liked as well. He never really knew what it was about hats that he enjoyed so much; even as a small kid he always had a hat on his head. And when his mother had read him 'Alice in Wonderland' during his time as a small kid, he had seen the Mad Hatter and that only made his interest of hats much bigger. He seemed to like the character from the book the most.
Smiling slightly to himself, Hatter shoved his hands into his pockets and glanced around the grounds of the academy. All seemed very quiet and that could either be good or..it could be bad. Either way, he planned to keep himself aware of everything around him. It was funny, even in his own haven here at the academy, Hatter found it sometimes hard to be relaxed and calm. Maybe it was because, no matter how well they had the academy protected, deep down, the boy knew that a vampire, werewolf or even a faerie could possibly come right into the academy and try to do harm to them all. It was a reason he tried to keep his own little sister away from the place. For fear of something horrible happening to her.
Sighing out, Hatter tugged off his hat for a moment to run his free hand through his hair before replacing the hat back onto his head. He glanced around once more, before stopping in his tracks as he saw a female figure walking right up the pathway. He narrowed his eyes, as he looked towards the gates, noticing that they were still shut and locked. He growled in his throat, wondering where the hell the guards were at and why some strange female was wandering the ground of the academy. Becoming fully alert and in starting to let his inner hunter come out, he put himself right in her path, staring down at her "And what do you think you are doing?" he asked threateningly.

Walking along the path she grew slightly nervous, she really did get inside the grounds to easily. She definitely shouldn’t be here, she was going to get into trouble and her brother was going to be mad at her. It was stupid for her to come here, she should really turn back and return home and continue to wait for her brother to come to her. No, she had gotten this far already, maybe she wouldn’t get into trouble. She just wanted to see her brother just for a little while. Because of Rose’s stern appearance it has become rather hard for her to make friends as people never gave her the time of day to get to know her. Her brother was all she had left and she missed him. Being lonely for so long caused you to do crazy things, like this for an example, breaking into the academy and seeking out her brother, who was most likely, be angry at her for coming in the first place. Oh well she continued walking anyway, she would just have to deal with anything that came her way when it came.
The sky was growing darker and the air was getting cooler and she really should have re-thought her outfit before she took off out of her house. The thin cardigan she was wearing wasn’t going to keep her warm from the cold night air later. She folded her arms over her chest as it seemed to grow slightly misty in the grounds of the academy. It wasn’t surprising considering how close they were to the ocean, the mist and fog should have been expected. It wasn’t too bad, she could still see through it but she didn’t know how bad it was going to get. What was she going to do when she reached the academy building? Just invite herself in and take a stroll around the halls till she found her brother? Jesus she really should have thought this through a little better. Next time she would know better, if there was even a next time. Would the hunters here arrest her for trespassing? That would be very bad indeed. She looked around the grounds still she saw no one, it was a good sign, she told herself.
She watched the ground as she walked, it was a really bad trait that she couldn’t help but do when she was nervous or scared. Right now she was a little both, to be perfectly honest it was a little creepy being in here. She wouldn’t last a minute here if she was to join the academy. It must have been one of the reasons why she turned down the offer her brother gave to her before she was abandoned by her mother and father. Bastards they were, cowards they couldn’t even accept that their son was making a difference in the world and they didn’t even care about what happened to her, they just left and were never to be heard from again. She pushed away the thoughts of them and looked up just in time to see a man step out in front of her. She gasped at the surprise of his being there. She listened to his harsh words. She was stumped for words at first she couldn’t get over how mean he was, there was honestly no need for him to be like that. “I’m here to see someone, is that alright with you?”
She backed up a few steps from him; he was just way to close in her opinion. She hoped that all hunters were not like this one. She was actually a little frightened of him, with his large hat and bad attitude, but of course she would never let it show through. The fog was growing thicker and it was getting a little hard to see things that were right there in front of her. Like the hunter for an example, she could only make out the outline of his face and his rather strange hat. Although she had to admit it was rather cool, it wasn’t very often you would see someone with enough confidence to walk around wearing such a thing.

Hunter stood there before her, crossing his arms over his chest. He had no idea who this girl was and he wasn't about to continue to let her stroll right on through the grounds and possibly the academy as well. It would just be wrong and who knows if she was being controlled by a faerie or even one herself. The boy would be betraying what he is and the academy and his own family if he allowed such things to happen. They think of him as a traitor.
Hatter raised an eyebrow at her response and frowned a bit "It depends. Who would that someone be and why do you want to see that someone?" he asked, narrowing his eyes towards the girl. If she even tried to get past him, he wasn't going to allow it. Even if she happened to be a girl, and though he was raised up to never hurt the opposite sex, well..sometimes, that rule just didn't apply.
He started to notice that it was getting a bit darker and a little bit cooler. The sun must be getting lower in the sky and if this girl just happened to be a harmless human, somehow getting into the academy grounds without permission, well..he would see fit that she either got to the rightful person that she was here to see or he, himself would escort her back home. If she knew of this place, then obviously she knew of what lurked out there in the shadows. In the trees all around nevermore.

Rosalie started to shiver under her thin cardigan, it was getting cold and fast. Maybe she should have left this for when she had more time in the day. She watched him the best as she could through the fog, she saw him fold his arms over his chest and it made her raise an eyebrow. Was he getting snooty with her, who did he think he was folding his arms over his chest at her. She so wanted to laugh at him for being so mucho but laughing at a highly trained hunter probably wasn’t the best thing to do, especially on who had the suspicions that she was entirely human. Well she was as human as they came and the shivering uncontrollably was solid proof of that. You can’t fake being cold. He then responded to her previous words. Hmm he was a very nosey hunter wasn’t he?
“I would think that to be none of your business” she said stepping a little closer to him, hoping that it would help her see him better through the fog that had crept up all of a sudden. “I’m here to see my brother” she said feeling a little nervous again, what happens if he wouldn’t let her pass? Would she just have to go home and forget that this had never happened? Man, if that was the case she would be very unhappy indeed. She wasn’t too keen on walking home on her own, she was hoping that her brother would escort her home, but if this hunter before her wouldn’t let her past to see him then she would be trekking it home on her own. “And the reason I want to see him is, my own business thank you very much” she said, she should have excepted this to happen. The people here were not just going to let her walk right in and have a look around at their establishment

Hatter scoffed at her words, it was definitely his business as to why she was here and who she was seeing too. If she decided she wasn't going to tell him, well then, he was just going to make sure she got outside of the academy gates where she ought to be and finds guards to be where they should be at and make sure they never allow this girl to ever enter these grounds again.
"Well, you can either tell me who your brother is and why you are trespassing on the grounds of the academy, or, I can just throw you out of here myself." he told her, staring down at her. Since she took a step closer to him, he could see her face a bit clearer through the fog that seemed to be appearing around them. Then again, with the ocean only being some feet away from where they were standing, it was bound to happen. It tended to give the academy an errie look and feel to it sometimes, one that never bothered Hatter one bit. At least it kept the humans away that shouldn't be here or even other non-human creatures.

Rosalie rolled her eyes at him, but she didn’t doubt he would throw her out himself. He just looked like one of those types of men that didn’t care if they were handling a woman to roughly and didn’t get a rats if they were all alone in the middle of the night. Well she didn’t want to be thrown out and she really wanted to see her brother so she had to just give in and tell him what he wanted to know. Otherwise she will be out on her ass and annoyed. “Fine, my brother’s name is Robert Khan and I just want to see him because he is all I have left and i haven't seen him in a while” she said, folding her own arms over her chest and she looked away from the hunter in front of her. She didn’t want to get emotional over this but she hated telling strangers her business.
She looked out into the mist that was coving the entire grounds now. She couldn’t see anything out there, but she didn’t care. She was annoyed and upset now, she didn’t want to be here with this hunter anymore, he was mean and had no empathy at all. She looked back to him now her emotions turn from upset to pissed off. “Is that a good enough reason for you, or would you like me to tell you why he is all I have left” she said, she was being mean herself now and that was a very rare thing to happen. She was usually a nice girl and never got angry at anyone, but when she is being stopped from seeing her own family she can get rather catty. This hunter with his stupid hat wasn’t going to stop her from seeing her brother. She would fight him if she had to.

As soon as he heard the name, Hunter couldn't stop himself from stepping just a little closer to get a better look at her face. He felt his jaw drop just slightly before mentally cursing himself and closing his mouth. Hatter closed his eyes, before taking a couple steps back from her and shaking his head some. How could he of not remembered that face? He had seen a few pictures of the two of them together in Robert's room before. Hatter had asked about who she was and that was it, and to actually see her in person, well..he could honestly say, the picture did her no good. Because if he had to be truthful with himself, Rosalie is gorgeous.
Blinking a few times, he looked back down at her and frowned some, before shaking his head a bit at her "No, I'm sorry." he told her, knowing she was going to end up wondering about his change of attitude towards her now "I didn't realize you are Robert's sister. I've seen your picture before, but, I'm sorry. I just didn't recognize you." he felt an apologetic smile come to his lips as he looked away from her, glancing around the grounds before looking back at her "Robert isn't at the academy right now. He's out hunting. But, since it's getting dark and rather cold out, I'd rather you come inside the academy and wait for him."

His sudden change of attitude was surprising and just plain confusing. Fair enough he knows her brother but that shouldn’t change his high fly authority attitude towards her. But oh well if she had of know he would have been this nice to her from just knowing her brother’s name then she would have told him sooner. But now that he was being all nice and everything didn’t excuse the way he made her feel earlier. The hunter had mentioned that he had seen a picture of her, was her brother showing everyone at the academy her picture. That little shit she was going to punch him in the back of the head when she saw him. He promised he wasn’t going to show anyone. “Well I guess it’s understandable that one should act in such a way towards a stranger” she said, still not completely relaxed. She was still fuming about his awful tone towards her, she was a woman for god’s sake, and you had to be nice to girls.
Her heart dropped when she learnt of her brother being on a hunt. She always worried about him when he was out there risking his life. She looked at the ground briefly and then looked back up to him. “Okay I should have just waited for him to visit, coming here was a stupid idea” she said, more to herself then him but she was sure he would hear her words anyway. He then told her that she could come inside and wait for him, she found this to be a better idea then returning home at the moment. She nodded and gave a small smile. “That would be great thanks” she said and stepped closer to the hunter. He was kind of cute, actually he was really cute, too bad he had a mean attitude towards woman. "Cool hat by the way” she said with a half smile, she really did like his hat.

Hatter couldn't help but to smile down towards her and nods "Well, it's weird that the guards are not at their post. So, to see someone that isn't an actual hunter walking around the grounds of the academy..one can tend to get a bit on the defensive side." he explained, hoping that she wouldn't think he was such a hateful guy, because he in reality, he isn't. He just protective of his fellow hunters and he would make sure nothing happens to them, just as they would do the same for him "We really don't want someone trying to sneak up on one of us and well..killing us." he said a bit bluntly.
Hunter turned back around, heading back towards the academy with the girl along beside him. He kept his eyes ahead of him, as he heard her speak more to herself, but he couldn't stop himself from commenting "Staying at home to wait for him would of been a better idea. Obviously you know of what roams around us in plain sight. I'm not saying you probably couldn't defend yourself, but, you really shouldn't be out alone by yourself." he then looked down at her, with serious eyes "If Robert is as protective of his little sister as I am of my, then you can understand how your brother would feel if he knew you walked here all by yourself." he added. Hatter wouldn't know what to really think if he ever found out his little sister was to be wandering around Nevermore at night by herself. God, he'd probably blame his parents, seeing as she is still just a little girl.
When Hatter heard her comment on his hat, he couldn't help but to look upwards to the rim of his hat and grin a bit before looking back at her "Why thank you." he told her.

Rosalie completely understood where he was coming from and perhaps she did get a little over angry about all his questions. She just hated explaining things to strangers. “I did noticed that the guards weren’t there, usually they are when I come here” she said and bit the inside of her mouth, she kind of just revealed to him that she came here often, well she never actually ever came inside the grounds, she just watched from the outside of the gate. Oh well hopefully he wouldn’t think anything of it. “I’m sorry I got a bit nasty with you before” she said, was truly sorry, no wonder she didn’t have any friends. She got defensive all the time and scared everyone away. She wouldn’t be surprised if this hunter didn’t want to ever see her again after she saw her brother and left.
She listened to him talk about how it wasn’t safe for her to be wandering around all by herself. She couldn’t help but smile, because he sounded like her brother, always telling her he knew she was tough and everything but the things that lingered in the darkness were always tougher. “Thanks for the concern” she said, they were both headed towards the academy doors and she could see him better now as the fog didn’t seem to be as bad closer to the building. She smiled knowing that she had made him smile with the comment about his hat. “That’s okay, hats never suited me, so be glad that you can pull them off” she said as they came up to the doors of the academy. She waited for him to open the doors and invite her in as she didn’t just want to invite herself in; she had already done that once today, by sneaking in through the bar of the academy gates.

Hatter gave a small thought to the fact that she had been here before. He wondered if she actually ever been inside of the academy, or she probably just waited outside of the gates til her brother came to greet her or something. He pushed the thought away as he smiled at her and nodded his head "Don't worry about it. I got a bit nasty myself. So..how about forgive and forget." he offered, with a small grin.
"Anytime." he told her. Hunter had enough practice with being concern, so he tended to be pretty good at it. Of course, he had many years still left to go with his little sister. There was a very small part of him that was definitely not looking forward to seeing her growing up to become a woman. He was going to have to kill a lot of guys when that time comes. Pushing those thoughts away, Hatter pulled open the door and held it open for her, waving an arm to invite her in "Yea, I've been told that before." he said with a bit of a crooked grin. Hatter followed in behind her, shutting the door as he went and stopped there in the entrance hall and glanced around before looking back at the girl.
"I'm Hunter by the way." he told her, holding out his hand "But most just call me Hatter."

Rose couldn’t help but smile when he apologised for getting a little nasty himself. There was one thing that they had in common; they both got defensive when something you hold dear to you gets threatened. For him it was the academy and for her it was the time being stole from her that she could be spending with her brother. He then presented a peace offering, forgive and forget. She liked that idea and smiled to him. “Sure forgive and forget... Friends then?” she asked hoping that he wouldn’t have an issue calling her a friend, god only knows that she needed more in the world. When she wasn’t with her brother she was alone all the time. Other human company other than herself all the time and the occasional visit from her brother would be good.
Rose bit the inside of her mouth at his word. It was a single world that made her glow. Knowing that he would be happy to be concerned about her well being was something she didn’t want to just throw away. She knew in herself that she was tough and most of the time won the battles she got herself into but not having anyone there to look at her with concern wasn’t as fulfilling. Her brother didn’t know about her little night time strolls looking for trouble, and it was something she never wanted him to know. She stepped inside the academy when he opened the doors for her and she looked around. It was everything she was expecting, it was huge, the inside wasn’t something you would expect looking at it from the outside, and it was very misleading. It was probably that way for a reason.
Rose smiled and held back a little giggle at his comment about being told his hats suit him before. Now that she was inside and she could get a good look at him, he was very cute and his hat made the cherry on the cake. She had to look away from him as she could feel a blush coming on. The whole looking away from him didn’t last very long as he spoke his name to her. Hunter the hunter, it was very cute and his nickname was adorable. “Nice to meet you Hatter, I’m Rosalie” she said and held out her hand for him to shake. “But most people just call me Rose” she finished up.

Hatter nodded towards her offering of being friends. He liked that "Yea, that sounds good." he told her, with a bit of a grin. He wasn't sure what it was, but he liked having friends. Though, he did like the ones that were real and true to him and just didn't happen to be his friend because they didn't want to be an enemy towards him. Which, he could understand.
As they stood there in the entrance hall of the academy, Hunter shook hands with Rose. It fit her well. Roses tended to be beautiful flowers and now that he could see her better, her picture did her no justice. Of course, he would have to watch himself around her brother. He knew that the boy was very protective towards his sister. If a guy even mentioned that his sister looked hot in just the photo, he knew what would happen. Hatter had seen it happen. Pushing the thoughts away, he dropped his hand to his side and glanced around before looking back at Rose with a smile "Hmm, well. We can sit within the mess hall til your brother shows up. I'm sure that is one of the places he'll hit before heading off to his room for the rest of the night."

Rosalie smiled as he agreed that it would be good for them to be friends. Instantly she thought back to her childhood with her brother and she remembered how annoyed he got whenever she spoke to his friends, and how angry he got with her when they wanted to be her friend as well. He yelled at her and told her to find her own friends. She bit her lip as she thought about this and then thought it could be different now because they were older and she hoped he wouldn’t mind that she was forming a friendship with one of his Hunter friends. If not he was just going to have to deal with it.
Shaking his hand she couldn’t help herself from blushing slightly and she looked away. Why was she acting this way towards him? It wasn’t because he was gorgeous it was something else. Perhaps it’s because he wanted to actually be her friend, he is like the only person in the world that did. She looked back up and noticed that he was looking at her. There was concentration in his eyes, what was he thinking as he was looking at her, she was dying to know but she would never ask him. Finally the silence between them was broken with his words. She cleared her throat to respond.
“Yeah that would be great” she said looking around the front hall that where in, there was a reception desk with no one behind it and a series of hallways that lead away from the hall they were in. She figured that they lead to all the other places in the academy. She had never been in here before so she had no idea where the mess hall was. “Lead the way, sir” she said with a smile. She usually liked to be the one that lead but with him she was happy to let him lead. Everything that was happen tonight with him was just so not like her, what was he going to her.
